One year ago -- you child killer Casey Anthony was found not guilty of killing her own daughter in what many called the trial of the century.

Second that we thought of the title -- just stuck and we wanted to make sure that we kept it.
Throughout the case and throughout reading the book I'm writing the book rather.
And it was it is very fitting.

From the very first day when I got the phone home I go see here at the jail our conversations.
What happened when I went back.
And how the case started to unfold and some of the things that we.

Is what I really try to focus on that was relevant to this story.
All right but -- you write in here about the fact that you thought that maybe she did have some sort of mental issues.

Oh yes I I in our -- and it took me awhile to get to know this but I -- I will say.
It it's no great surprise throughout this trial -- in my opening statements I'm I mentioned something was just not right.
About her as well as during cross examinations we called witnesses about that.
And even in my closing arguments.
I know that that's what a lot of people are making.
Out about the book -- and to be honest -- -- that's something that we -- from the very beginning and we continue to argue.
That the lives.
Were a result of something else other then consciousness of guilt.
And while a lot of people have a hard time with that the reason I say that my strongest argument for that is.
The -- began years before.
She had an imaginary.
Group of friends that didn't exist.
And they have nothing to do with the guilt or innocence.
Of the death of her daughter as images like something was wrong with the.
But if you're gonna represent -- don't to what don't you have don't we have -- come to Jesus conversation.
About what really happened you know some people or.
Our -- very very easy to open up with and they'll tell you everything -- off of that some clients -- that way.
Other clients take awhile before you earn their trust.
And some people are much more difficult to get into it to get to know everybody thinks you show up and you can you tell the client.
OK everything we say its confidence you can tell me everything in the mid the floodgates open -- it it doesn't work that way in real life.
People don't know you from out of they don't know whether you're absent you know just and other person that's out to hurt them.
Or or -- they don't know anything about -- whether they can trust you and sometimes you have to earn that trust and it in -- situation to be a very long time to be able to get inside with horror and anger turn it open now.
How has life changed for you you're you're no longer.
A lawyer in the yellow pages there your your big deal well.
You know I'm much more recognizable.
I've I've had the wonderful opportunity -- some incredible people.
And what I'm happy -- the most that I'm happy about is the fact that I am really starting to take on very interest in cases cases that.
Are they breaking your door down and you get more calls than you did before -- definitely help effect if you did but but but tell me about you because.
It SI was watching the trial there -- a lot of -- lawyers legal hundreds.
There were not very nice about you they said this guide is in a week do this guy he's he's a lightweight he has -- so.
Criticized -- I mean really criticized you -- I read them the sovereign debt -- words he's a genius he's a legal scholar he's.

I knew about the criticism before the trial and then during the trial I tried my best to stay away from.

And it and I and I -- to that advice.
So there were -- couple times were cheated.
But generally speaking.
I I stayed away from it and I realized I knew what I was doing I knew my case better than they did.
So I knew I -- what we were doing and what we're what our strategy was and we stuck to it and we -- care what the naysayers were saying.
And you know it if other lawyers who -- out there on television don't know or can't recognize.
Legal strategy will -- that that says more about their work than it does mine.
