We think about what companies are I'd need to create jobs in America one of the big things they need a skilled workers and they employ American workers act.
The perhaps well -- made it much harder for hundreds of finance companies and banks in America to hire skilled foreign nationals -- -- H one B Visa program.
And at a time where they needed ideas and talent that made it harder for these companies to grow in the United States well let's just mentioned by -- a couple of companies that were started.
By immigrants Intel Google Yahoo! all of these companies would not exist now -- not for immigrants and as a result of these companies starting up.
We have tens hundreds of thousands of of workers American workers -- drop so that's that's kind of what you're talking about right.
That's exactly right so there's a lot of research that's been Don and a lot of that anecdotes that we don't know from where we work and where we let.
Immigrants tend to be very dynamic parts of the American economy they tend to bring a lot of human capital financial capital.
Connections to the world to help create the kind of jobs that we need an American today good paying jobs that are connected to the global economy.
And so one of the real challenges we have a 111 million private sector jobs in the United States today after the jobs report this morning.
That's the same number private sector jobs we had twelve years ago.
So we need to find a way to create millions of millions of jobs connected in the global economy and immigration can be one important way to help do that well to buttress your point I was unaware this figure extraordinary figure 42%.
Of all doctorate level jobs in engineering and science he -- come from -- right 42% of all the darker level jobs.
Are filled by immigrants so it's it's an amazing number but again this is an election year.
There so there's a lot of questions about immigration and and various acts that even the supreme quarter deciding right now and we have this -- -- -- -- eight point 2%.
So the reality the political reality is probably nothing's gonna change right.
Well you know I -- perhaps but my hope is this is -- opportunity for leadership from some place in Washington DC.
When you look at leaders of large businesses and small businesses alike.
What is things they say we need is more talent -- more scale and more ideas to help grow our company is gonna get immigrants historically our big part of that a lot of Americans close play -- role as well.
But it's an opportunity where the business community has been quite strong for many years and saying.
Whoever's in the White House -- -- congress comprehensive reform of high skilled immigration be a big plot so it's a real chance for America.
Are right if if in fact there is there's meaningful change in in in which big companies that -- a start up and needed.
The doctorate level scientists and so forth to do so are able to be employed.
What do you think would happen would it have a demonstrable effect not only on our growth rate but also on the number of Americans avoid.

Those skilled immigrants to help create jobs and the start -- companies and you cited some remarkable numbers earlier.
A study was done from 95 to 2005.
In America that estimated 25% of all the start -- and technology in the US over that period.
We're started by immigrants.
But they also create companies and large existing firms as well because those firms and they bring in this dynamic Smart people.
They helped create new jobs in other lines of business they come up with new products new innovations.
And -- to help get the jobs numbers going where we all want him to go.
