-- -- -- -- -- Well soldiers coming home and the 100000.

Jobs mission and Ernst and young.

Are trying to get those -- employed.

Nancy -- developing some young vice chair and joins us today to talk about Ernst and young's programmed to get these that tired welcome to you.

Thank you like Louie Anderson nursing and has already hired 26.

Veterans actually that was in the first quarter so give -- status update I know you're looking to hire more than 100.

We are we we've set a goal of hiring 2% of our advisory business hires -- veterans.

But we expect to greatly exceed that -- we're off to a great start.

And we are around working all of our sources to make sure that we find.

All the veterans have weekend to fit our needs there from a timing Alaska -- -- From a company's perspective is it harder or easier to find veterans to fines.

People who have the skills or who are easily trained into those skills I think you mentioned your advisory practices where you're looking to place most of these veterans explain to me what that is -- what it requires and how tough it is to find the right candidates.

Yeah our advisory practices are consulting business and there's a lot of roles -- veterans can play in the advisory practice.

So we're working with many of the academy.

Jobs -- campaigns end and we're constantly out looking we also use many -- bar.

Existing veterans to -- -- others that they -- so actually.

What we can find and we are able to effectively recruit them and bring them on board.

And as -- mentioned we're working with several other organizations to really expand our our reached an -- find more that's fantastic so.

-- about the skills these veterans have that they learned while serving that make them especially good job candidates for this -- -- at Ernst and young.

Yet some traits that we've observed and also read about that veterans -- that -- an incredibly valuable to us.

-- the first one is great creativity and innovation.

They -- also terrific leaders are renowned leaders that they are also willing to be -- in an -- business we work on teens and people play different roles in different times so having that flexibility to be a leader -- to be glad it's very important.

-- another skill is they are very comfortable being uncomfortable in in today's business world you can't discount that.

And finally the very mission focused.

So they're very focused on getting the job done but also learning from the job and figuring out how to doing even better the next time comfortable being uncles are all else that's that's fascinating.

In terms of cost yes is it more or less expensive to bring on and that and then train that person into the position vs.

Hiring a civilian.

You know we are so many people and every one of them has different backgrounds and different -- I don't think is a discernible extra costs to bring in veteran on.

They bring so many skills that you know maybe we're investing more in the beginning to teach them our methodology.

And neon technical piece behind the job.

That the skills to bring around leadership and -- a mission creativity and innovation.

That -- that offset so I don't think there's an additional cost to us.

Do you think that what you guys are doing their Ernst and young -- apple for other types of businesses other industries in this country.

It really is side.

-- a key is to find people that will fit into the organization and we spent a lot of time up front to really identify.

The types of people that that makes sense for us -- that will be a fit because the one thing we want to make sure is that this is a success for both parties.

But then we have to be really -- -- to to make them feel included to make our veterans feel included in valued and have a place in our firm.

And we're working very hard with our existing veterans source veterans network so that they are mentoring each other we have it very successful peer mentoring program.

And they're also telling us in helping us to determine what other resource do we need to bring to.

Bring to bear to help our veterans.

Nancy out to -- with Ernst and thank you so much for sharing your story you know the unemployment problem in this country is is a crisis and it's great to hear that at least one company's hard especially veterans.
