This is so interesting because I've learned so much -- -- do have a job -- -- you look at him the second.
I've learned so much about how typical it really is to it to get a job these days.
Com the average job hunt takes ten months can you imagine ten months searching pounding the pavement using social media do whatever you can.
Exhausting on -- context -- to get employed it seems aching need to hire somebody.
This is just LT get a job but it's no laughing matter we're gonna talk about it right now with the -- -- -- -- officially introduce -- And he steadied give me a hundred bucks to buy said your last name -- yes I I really wanna.
-- -- -- Gets I'll give you fifth grade.
Because it expects the director of marketing at hundred C dot com yes put her hand flat currency OK so what is -- -- dot com.
Currency is a tool that helps to organizer job search so imagine -- on sites like career builder or -- -- Or indeed.
And when you're looking at those sites and you're looking for jobs put on C -- you do is actually bookmark those jobs.
Put a lot of singled out for it and then track your progress throughout the job search I -- simplify the process and make it easy to follow up.
Some different versions of your residents -- this is really complicated do you have any sense than the average number of interviews that -- a job Kenzie is on.
You know it depends but I think you know the average ranges you know.
Somewhere in when -- -- kind of fifty range again at all any a fifty interviews over yes let's say ten months over ten months exactly so I and I and I thought OK so.
Can you kind of just give us the cliff notes version of what you should do first.
In a -- So he -- think you know one of the most important things that you have to do is really get organized and really start off on the right book.
A balance of figure out kind of your plan on what exactly it is you're doing what type of jobs are looking for what companies are -- And then kind of create a plan of action -- -- So you know when you're applying for different you know positions.
You know we -- looking for and -- following up.
You know one of the things that people don't know is following up as one of the biggest reasons that people don't get jobs and -- -- some people I think -- -- from knowing what should you follow up.
The telephone calling.
-- -- -- Invest I think it depends you know I think the first way to do it -- -- you know you know recruiters are really busy people they're getting you know lots of applications every single day.
So you know nice kind of courtesy follow up would be nice -- but after that you know you can kind of you know pick up the phone and -- directly.
So it's it's although being persistent without being -- -- and we should mention the fact that in applying to all these jobs one resonate doesn't always work yet so.
You know the best way to kind of apply for jobs -- to really tailor them to the position that.
Your appliances -- making sure.
You reference specific things about the company.
Economists see your interest in your understanding and knowledge -- of that company.
Which means that usually have multiple versions -- -- And that's one area that becomes really difficult keep track yeah I can imagine -- we -- need.
Your company right exactly -- had a we use -- data help me out so little red man's.
All the different job interviews all follow up -- -- the cover letter exactly that is you know a whole lot of different things in the way that people currently.
You know organizer job search is -- a spreadsheet.
That's not really efficient because you create this big spreadsheet.
You know you start.
You know -- -- different columns and all of a sudden you have this big mess and so -- -- automate that process OK so -- -- you -- -- -- -- job from a different you know -- -- Whether it's a job board or an employer had you get running Citi.
Had a had as a user find agents -- -- you logon to.
WWW currency dot com okay we're looking at right you sign up you can sign up through FaceBook -- then it's very Twitter it's obsolete -- is thing.
-- -- a -- one of those services or you're you know across and then you can sell either a bookmark it.
Which is you know this little thing my guess -- if you're familiar with interest yet.
It's pretty much you know the same thing a little tool that lets you come bookmark things on the go.
Or browser extension and then you start you know bookmarking different positions that do it.
-- And how do.
Mean openings turn up on -- side.
You can also search for job -- -- you how do you go about search right now on the site itself you know the idea is that you're already searching on a lot of difference.
It's -- and so.
You know what we let you do is we that you take that experience that spread out across a lot of different sites -- and bring.
In one place it's okay that becomes kind of your personal -- for -- -- Johnson.
Right those nice the company kinda ended up a profile for every person and it just said that one profile top of prospective employers -- you have to do with it exactly.
That would you know I don't know world -- -- and a little more I don't have to be a little bit more tailored.
What other tips could you give us less social media yeah.
How should we used Twitter and FaceBook and everything else to it to dance get a job yes so I mean I think one of the big trends that you're saying is a lot of the recruiting process is actually going on line.
And so it's important you know as -- finding different companies in different recruiters can to see you know what types of activity they.
Right you know -- the Twitter sphere on FaceBook etc.
So you know following specific companies following specific recruiters -- that are -- You know seeing what they're talking about seeing the types of things that they're -- -- yourself fair and -- exactly.
That information is all there it's it's really accessible for you have to find it -- the job search.
Forum is kind of antiquated you've said in the -- house so.
And and like they're the weather led senator -- as is rating some hands and that you and I thought you had said that.
Did the outlet to help there the way -- stopped never being exactly in system -- I mean I think you know a lot of -- of the job sites that you see today were built in the 1990s it's kind of you know rally holds technology.
You know there hasn't been a lot of innovation in this space and I think that's what we're trying to do you know.
Infuse some of these you know new modern tools -- -- creating jobs by helping exactly I mean you know how ironic for one example you know.
Right now the way that you know you wouldn't kind of figure out if somebody is working and company that -- applying to is going going on FaceBook.
And searching their profile and seeing if they you know had worked there in the house.
Whereas with unseat you log in with FaceBook or or -- -- for example we automatically pull that information in one place means that when you're applying for the job you can actually get a warm introduction.
Instead of trying to send the cool cool -- you know which is much more.
Right right OK and how many.
How many sites you were flat right now so right now we have upwards of about thirty different sites OK we've also kind of structured our algorithm.
Anyway if you adhere to kind of certain standard ways of listing a job on the web and then we automatically -- -- -- so.
That kind of you know makes this compatible -- the hundreds.
Put you know our goal is to basically you know be able to.
Very easily pull and permission from anywhere on the web mean I know you know what's a job description what is a job title -- -- Computer learning in a sense yes everybody should check out -- C dot com.
Things are re thinking for coming on -- the director of marketing.
He did a good job market -- meant to thank you so much -- latest will help some people out there happy I have real -- get the job that they want happy hunting and try our it will.
