The tax hike that is spiking over both California Democrats today passing the budget aimed at closing a sixteen billion dollar gap.

It's got some big cuts but cuts alone won't cut it that's -- democratic governor Jerry Brown also wants to raise taxes on the -- And hide the income tax as well he wants those put on the ballot in November and -- -- gets voted -- on that he's leading the push to defeated.

The national federation -- this is John Kemp attack John bomb.

It obviously is not a popular issue anywhere in California is so why not put it on the ballot and and prove the government wrong you don't think it will go.

We just don't see the -- from the actual small business owner and voter and -- you know time and again what we're seeing in and we're hearing you know we represent about 20000 mom and pop small businesses in California who are struggling.

And what we hear from the baker the butcher the candlestick maker -- -- small business owner right now is enough is enough.

They have no faith no confidence that the governor or the legislature will spend their tax dollars we've seen tax.

We see in no way that I noticed that your you don't want a letter to governor vote are you afraid that the unions are public group will get the pressure in the vote out so bad -- these taxes are rates.

I think what we're finding from people with there's just no faith in the bureaucracy that they would spend the money in the way that they should it's a fifty billion dollar tax increase sales tax income tax.

And -- who knows how long this will go and I -- -- -- I'm prohibited in California to begin with and to your point what.

Makes them think that raising taxes it's much across the board is gonna make it more inviting.

It won't you know -- let's take a look Neil.

We've got -- California already has the highest sales tax rate in the nation the governor wants to increase that by 3%.

We have the third highest income tax rate in the nation he wants to -- that by 32%.

And this is all geared towards small business the governor calls it -- millionaire's tax.

I would rather -- it to mom and pop tax because remember let's let's not forget small business owners.

File their taxes as individuals a classic example of how out of touch.

Our government is and how they look to main street small businesses that he TM.

You know if you don't mind -- nationalize in this Donna newbies -- have a what do you guys like you and a lot of your members want.

-- a Washington if you had your druthers.

That would really get your guys you spending money hiring people expanding what what a bit.

I think at the end of the day what they're looking for what small business owners are looking for is accountability.

And responsible governing.

You know we're talking to small business -- up and down the state especially on this issue and our members overwhelmingly oppose these taxes but what I think they really are fearful about.

Is there are just uncertain there are uncertain about where their tax dollars go let's not forget California has increased spending since 2008 by.

The route thirty billion dollars were already in -- sixteen billion dollar hole as it stands with this budget.

Californians.

I think want from -- California government but also from Washington accountability and responsibility and they're just not CNN and this these do not even show any reforms.

These increases don't even include one reform for pensions.

Reforming our -- for a system we've reforming regulatory environment this is out of control.

Voters should be outraged by this.

You know they've done is it to have my guess made as much sense as you do in the last few minutes.

I would have ratings like sixty minutes I'd be going Bill O'Reilly away so if you can come back no seriously -- thank you very much good having -- Very much appreciate in the -- our website is.

Reform and jobs not taxes dot com we just encourage people to speak -- -- URL you learn but we'll bank noted that.

On the John thank you very very.
