California.

Governor Jerry Brown demands that state lawmakers make serious cuts to state spending he wants to be more like the Bill Clinton at Clinton I'm quoting now.

This is government brown.

We need additional structural reforms to cut spending on an ongoing basis including welfare reform.

That's built on president Clinton's framework been focused on getting people back to walk.

Michael Reagan is the -- all of the new Reagan revolution and he joins us live from Los Angeles would not it's only what's going on here please mark.

-- -- Twelve the governors who are really up to it it with this legislature.

Because these slightly out he really has no power.

At all that was taken away a long time ago by -- in California the governor just or decide bills say okay are not okay.

I thought about Bill Clinton structural reform while -- Reagan did -- reform with a would.

It was welfare reform where they required people on welfare to work in order to get their welfare check.

Well this -- only good.

Cut about 880 million dollars out of a budget that sixteen billion dollars in arrears.

While this -- going on there's 5000 people today in Sacramento.

-- gonna linked arms.

Because they don't want any cuts.

I -- Sacramento at all there is nothing going on Sacramento to bring business back -- -- California bring people back to the state of California so there's a larger base of taxpayers.

And here's the other side of it.

This state legislature is hoping that governor Brown's tax measure on the ballot November.

Is going to be enough for them to balance the budget so they're negotiating.

Based on the fact that we Californians are gonna vote to raise our taxes in November would you balance the budget they have to put forth by the fifteen to June.

What's the status of those tax increases that on the November ballot last time you and I checked in.

There was less and less support for those tax increases what it -- stand today.

And I think it is less and less.

As time goes by people don't want to pay more in taxes in this state and of course what happened up in San Jose what happened down in San Diego.

With the reform having to do with unions was a big big eye opener in the state of California so I think in fact.

Governor Brown is in deep trouble there's two ballot measures to raise taxes ballot measures if you will.

Going to be on the November ballot I think both of good and the failure at this point the last -- is actually change I would just entrusted to seek.

-- -- brown used the name of Bill Clinton.

Right after the Bill Clinton that seem to go up against Barack Obama and try to claim moderate middle of the road territory.

Now governor Brown's attaching his wagon that to the the trained and led by Bill Clinton that's politically significant visit.

No it's not really politically should get through -- all and stick it to California for him to drop Bill Clinton's name other fact confederate just as -- governor Brown's state.

Not a Bill Clinton -- by the way there's no Newt Gingrich up in Sacramento to work with the Bill Clinton to get things done in Sacramento.

Because these are -- that he's working with his dead set against the governor of the state doing anything in -- They're already lighting up state legislatures to spend the money that they in fact wanna cut from the budget -- -- this money that they're going to cut.

None of it is going to go towards a sixteen billion dollar deficit we carry -- mistake he'll just get larger and larger.

Because the state legislatures are already promised he -- -- their constituency.

They're gonna give it back.

You know I thought there was some -- California obvious -- a couple of weeks maybe a single life but evidently not very is no hope -- -- lining up to spend the money not on deficit reduction -- just spend its.

There is no hope.

I'm cleaning out about and that -- lined up to spend the money now by -- and it might Reagan thanks very much for joining us we appreciate it has always thank you since you next time.
