Or gore ruling in favor of Mike and -- -- -- at the couple is still battling the EPA believe -- -- not.

This nightmare started over five years ago in the seconds bought a small piece of property and priest lake Idaho hoping to build -- dream -- The EPA seize their property claiming it was wetlands threatening fines up to 7 -- thousand dollars a day.

Now despite the Supreme Court ruling in March.

Which from the -- -- have a right to judicial review of the EPA hasn't backed down and each.

An EPA official recently comment on the case saying the ruling will have little effect on the EPA.

And that quote quote internally -- same old same old concerning its enforcement policy.

Senator James nobly and a group of sixteen Republican senators civil -- EPA administrator Lisa Jackson on the 24 of last month.

Demanding answers is office tells us tonight Jackson hasn't gained to respond.

Joining us now the couple considerable all of this Mike and -- tells -- And I must say looking great out there -- in Seattle Washington their attorney Damien ship of the Pacific.

Legal foundation who argued their case successfully.

Before -- -- Supreme Court and good to have you all here.

But.

-- I want did you do you guys that Tellme.

That that your view you build your dream hall where everything's happy and you're in your move and ahead.

Why not.

Well Lou again thank you -- -- if fox for having -- on and the Pacific legal foundation.

And blew out we wish we can explain why we couldn't we're in settlement agreement.

Are trying to get settlement agreement with EPA right now.

And that's we can't really talk about those details it's.

-- it's five years that we live this nightmare and we fought for everyone else in this country besides herself.

And it would just seem like that after and I nearly unanimous decision that we can get some type of decisions we can get -- of our life you know it's it's destroyed our company.

It's almost a -- our marriage and it's it's you would think it's time for the EPA to let us get all of our life.

Well.

Should tell I mean you're not in Seattle for the have histories don't mean because as my strategy here -- Gloucester business.

Have you.

You have to seek work outside.

Where you live.

I I mean what's your next step.

We're trying to keep fighting I mean we we would like to get some type of class.

Decision so that we can move forward.

But if we can't come this some type of decision with the EP we're gonna we're prepared to go back to district court in fine -- this is important for everybody in the country like you said if they're gonna treat business as usual.

There's a lot of people -- their suffering at the hands of the EPA stuff.

You think right now that -- EPA.

Officials.

We're sitting there looking in my kitchen tells factored in this I think we -- them a lesson.

That's what happens when a citizen confronts.

Powerful agency which is.

A rogue agency.

It doesn't appear to give much of a damn about your your quality of life your rights or the United States Supreme Court.

Well Lou we wish -- hope that there isn't that many bad apples in the and we would hope that there I'd say how many -- But I think -- do you think there any.

Well -- I don't I don't -- it's just you would think that.

That we don't think go to auction ICI's would've written you driven you guys like as they have.

To the point that you find yourself a return to your attorney because I can I -- in censure discomfort.

And I understand -- and I mean what in the world is the federal government doing.

The Supreme Court has made a ruling and the EPA appears to -- and go to hell.

Well you know the talk about two bad apples in the EPA we saw just months ago.

One of the the EPA administrators.

Now on the Doris down in Texas.

Was quoted as saying that his approach to enforcing this -- -- there aren't we and we've got other examples I mean we've got.

We've got EPA -- walking in arm.

And -- citizens.

Holmes I mean we've got crazy stuff.

What I'm asking -- -- is what in the world are you going to have to do here to restore the -- its.

Their rights their property and their -- Well -- -- its majority keep on fighting for them we hope that we can resolve the case.

And the -- -- -- we build their home but it's at this point not -- about the -- is that all the other landowners in this country who've been beaten up by EPA.

It's critical that the agency understand.

That a 90 loss in the Supreme Court mean something that they've got to change.

The way they go about enforcing the law they've got to respect the rights.

American citizen.

OK I'm with -- and I and I and by the way we all heard the same decision audience of this broadcast knows the -- its know you.

Know what you've gone through and what happens now.

Because what I'm hearing is frankly empty rhetoric.

We're talking about a man and woman's lives.

We're talking about their rights as citizens -- I hear nothing but indifference -- actually.

That's in -- god bless senator and -- in the sixteen senators joining him but it's -- water it is an action.

And this is getting to be just about in it's gut wrenching to watch this happen in this great country.

What are you gonna do what happens what do we do.

-- Well I think.

I think it's essential that we for a look with our victory in the Supreme Court we continue to litigate on behalf of Americans who are who are being up -- ultimately.

I think he lies to congress congress is indeed.

The power in this country that can.

Legislate that can change the -- are being mean you know what I'm -- -- a got a warrant out where this stuff about the congress this in the senate -- letters to that blog.

-- the United States Supreme Court has ruled and there's no.

There is no practical effect am -- wrong.

Well there certainly is a real practical effect and that at least now Mike -- -- -- have their right to their -- court that's something that.

Not only did they not have -- nobody else in this country had -- EPA issued when he's orders so that is definitely a positive movement.

That's a positive development it is it resolution.

And the thing that what is happening is Terry and I believe -- this country are part.

-- when two American citizens citizens can be sitting there the Supreme Court has ruled and they aren't one.

-- better off there's something wrong with that and it's taken five years to get.

-- -- positive development this is in the legal system this is this is excruciating torture.

And that it is frankly.

There's nothing American about what we're watching happen to the -- Part of the country.

Danish -- thanks for being with us -- change how we wish all the best we're gonna talk -- -- throughout this -- if we're gonna make something happen here.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
