The startup Visa act is gaining bipartisan support which you don't often see in congress these days yes -- from both sides are ready to help this act become a reality.
The actual help for a entrepreneurs get -- -- to stay in the US and grow their innovative businesses.
And -- higher Americans supporters are saying that new startups will lead to job creation but one person says.
Brain draining developing countries of their talent.
Is greedy Ralph Nader is -- man he's the author of getting steamed to overcome corporate system.
He joins me now in a Fox Business exclusive and -- -- -- recently caught our attention.
We said let's get throughout the year because it is completely contrarian view to what a lot of people on both sides of the aisle are saying -- of that is.
What these very Smart foreigners stay here start businesses and hire our people why do you disagree with that premise.
Because as contradictory to our policy overseas we.
Our spending taxpayer money and US policy to encourage stable growing economies in the Third World.
And two.
Encourage human capital like entrepreneurs and skilled physicists and engineers and doctors and nurses.
To build their economies and deal with infectious diseases and and job growth.
On the other hand we have -- -- -- Intel and Cisco and Microsoft lobbying the congress in order to provide a magnet.
Brain drain to bring these scientists and physicists and engineers and nurses and doctors from Asia and Africa and South America.
To the US is if we don't have enough.
Talent and potential in our own country to develop and it's it's good that there are thousands of of Pakistan mean India and -- doctors in New York City given the alternative.
But we certainly have millions of movement young Americans.
Who could fill these positions if tuition news we're reduced so what we dealt with the dropout rate.
And if we stop the cultural discrimination.
For example only 10% of our engineers are women -- not a huge.
Child okay but but also our schools aren't yeah.
Teaching engineering and math properly so when they spit out students out into the real world.
We don't have enough engineers.
The issue that some of these people on both sides of the aisle particularly Senator John Kerry who put this forth along with Richard Lugar -- a Republican.
And Mark Udall who's -- Democrat are saying is that these people here anyway using our universities Yale and Princeton -- Berkeley and getting that education.
Taking -- a white because they can't stay.
These leaders are saying let's give them an easier -- to stay here and create businesses and by the way around just -- to businesses Google and Intel.
Both of whom were co founded.
By foreigners.
And now those are two big businesses here in the US that are hiring Americans why would you not support that part of the equation.
Because do we want these talented people to drain.
The human capital -- of the Third World.
And they were gonna get more tuberculosis and more aids and more malaria and more -- disasters and natural disasters and more poverty.
It more revolution.
More instability.
When we have the skills here.
That's the -- We have millions of Americans who are not being given the proper policies so they can -- come.
These engineers and entrepreneur -- instead we're filling our slots in our graduate -- -- imported students.
And that is the brain drain I think it's not good -- -- Third World countries and that's not good for us since our foreign policy rests on stable growing.
Economies reducing dire poverty and disease in those -- well.
Yeah.
You're saying that we should be magnanimous and worry about other countries instead of saying you know what these people.
Come here to America let's make -- American let's.
As as -- that brought a -- in engineering or might start up a business that would hire people they should have a green card stamped to their diploma.
Why not I mean immigration is what built this great nation might.
My parents immigrated out so many people you rip open your veins are gonna find -- from some other country doesn't that make America strong.
-- normal immigration is fine we all know that but when you have.
As special -- incentives you're pulling these people out of these other countries where they're desperately needed physicians and nurses say.
Well effect here what is -- and they don't wanna stay fit rather come here to the US is -- choice.
Well we have done to ourselves is this going to help our foreign policy in our stability in our safety.
But the key question -- is we've got plenty of talent here that were ignoring because we can rip off other country talents and bring them here that's not the right way.
I want 50% of the engineers to be women that means a lot more engineers.
-- -- Though a lot of younger people and minorities to become doctors in this country rather than rely on Asian doctors and African doctors.
-- are desperately needed to deal with the infectious diseases and poverty in their own land.
In other is let's not be -- -- sure about this.
While we -- a comeback didn't come back to bite us.
Well we also need to work on our educational system and graduate more engineers Ralph thank you we always love having your perspective -- even if people disagree but then that's what.
We -- about here Ralph Nader is the author of getting steamed to overcome corporate -- -- together.
To win we'll see you next time thank you so much for being here -- Thank you lose any time they've.
