It's -- up front seat two years ago we introduced the world to this breakthrough packaging technology that looks feels and recycles just like a traditional bottle.
But instead of being based on fossil fuels were able to use plants and have a lower environmental impact.
We're rolling out across the world where about 10% of the way there today on our way to getting to a 100% by twenty -- Angela how can afford to utilize this technology.
Well we're really excited to see everything that Coca-Cola is doing in this area.
And we've had that -- to -- great partnership to bring that same type of material that plant based PT material.
Into our vehicles for future products and and we can use in applications such as.
-- cabaret or carbon fibers and there's a potential other opportunities as well.
-- -- begs the question obviously this is more environmentally sound but is it gonna cost more.
Well thank you know we've seen the volatility of fossil -- lately gone up and down we think over the long term this makes good economic sense to look at ways that we can reduce our dependency.
On that -- on moved off.
What we think -- -- -- less volatile place with -- renewable materials are you passing along higher cost to Coca-Cola customers -- ready and able to absorb some of it.
Yeah there's an added cost but we really look at it as an investment -- that today at -- about what makes us different.
And aren't really showcases leadership -- -- long term we've got a clear plan in terms of how we move to cost parity or even better.
Angela what are your thoughts on what this means bird for the food source Wright is just gonna -- out food -- -- agricultural for for food consumption.
People are committed at looking at a host of -- -- materials for this feature a 100% plant based materials so.
We are gonna look at all types of -- feed -- and didn't does our nonfood based as law.
OK so plastic bottles carpet for your car -- Fabric -- I mean could this technology dissent plant material theoretically be apply to really all kinds of products and even beyond those I just mentioned.
-- -- -- -- -- Yeah that that's right in terms of a lot of people don't realize that -- beverage containers -- plastic beverage containers are polyester so if you think of all kinds of fibers business for sure applicable to -- the real route of the technology that's been developed here.
Can be applied across all commercial plastics other potential change that can be created is really quite significant.
How much Angela dependency do you think this this lessons -- on petroleum he could it actually in a couple of years translate into.
A lower price per barrel of oil.
I think that this is the Spanish finished showing that we are committed to looking -- alternatives to petroleum and possibly -- based plastics.
And as we know -- -- limited resource that we need to find alternatives to those materials.
And only way that we're gonna get there is by a forming research participants like this and showing that were committed in this area and -- putting the real resources behind -- -- research and about these.
