A great guest Ted Murphy.
You you weren't a founder and CEO idea yes -- -- this great way to you.
Make the most and social media that we live in a world where were all of social media celebrity of some sports club -- Can you please you match.
You have.
A team of basically 50000 brands and 750000.
Social media users in China -- -- -- so everybody can be happy.
Absolutely so people are spending more more time with social media we actually just came out what that study recently that shows that people are.
More addicted than ever to social media.
That's interesting because we got that Reuters poll yesterday that showed that people are spending less time on FaceBook mean that's just FaceBook just because they're on pay interest now right there they're all over the place they're using Twitter they're using FaceBook there's -- photos but they are constantly connected.
OK and what we try to do is help them essentially monetize that social media presence -- whether there a blogger or FaceBook user or Twitter user.
Help them make a little extra cash for now all that time that -- -- how -- -- -- may well really depends on how big your following is so on on the low end you might be able to make.
Thirty to fifty dollars for a blog post on the -- and you might you'll make a couple thousand dollars for single blog posts and if your celebrity.
You could just get crazy I know you tell me that can grade as the end.
Even in excess money for a celebrity tweeting sponsored tweets and many big name celebrities do it's kind of interesting because they don't really need money why would they do that it's itself really whole new world of sponsorships and endorsements and people -- leveraging their social media -- presents to make more money -- you know on the high -- with celebrities they can make 1020000.
Dollars for single -- So -- every day the average blogger -- meet your user out there.
How we connect with you in your business to perhaps make a little bit of money from some of the major brands now you -- you represent you Wal-Mart Coca-Cola Microsoft they'll blue chips -- blue chips out but a lot of lot of smaller guys as well so there's a lot of opportunities out there.
If they wanted to join the platforms they would go to either social spark dot com sponsored tweets dot com.
Or -- dot com and they would start AST AI ST a REE.
And they would register their social media profile so they would volume with FaceBook or Twitter religion to show you would fit right we're gonna check you out we're gonna -- you to figure out.
You know are you a college student or -- -- stay at home mom or use celebrity.
And then we're gonna try to find the brands that are right for you based on what -- interest -- -- yeah it's somewhat established though before you do that's correct yeah.
You know there's there's obviously -- broad spectrum what we -- tend to look for is someone who has a couple hundred followers to start -- -- and maybe a couple couple thousand page views a month on their blog.
So you can kind of start small and you're gonna -- -- -- -- money and as you work your way up you'll learn more and more.
Re really it's a really interesting concept all my friends have blogs yeah yeah sun that's if or form for -- I always find.
I'm at the point -- -- -- meeting yes it's very useful but it's confusing and time consuming it is extremely.
Anything on businesses -- social media hopes then they get their name out.
On and it seems some cost advertising costs and anyways yeah also kind of need someone to man that.
Experiencing -- -- media the right way I would of the best ways to use the Cecil steer well that it's really gonna depend on what type of business you are saying you're small local pizzeria you're gonna use it differently in minute here fortune 500 -- The big thing is that you're trying to engage your audience so you -- -- have a conversation with them you wanna be listening you know people have a bad experience.
They're gonna let their friends -- through social media -- first thing you need to do is make sure that you're listening in that -- responding so that those bad experiences don't.
Spiral out of -- airlines are really big on managing snow yeah cleaning and social media because when you think about it when your flights to later you're stuck in careful what -- had yet your phone right exactly get.
Start complaining -- the world how bad felt guilty guilty.
I I just recently did a story -- -- the airlines there are combating that space and and making their tweeters and prevails happy yeah it's me it's not just combating -- -- really taking that.
Negative experience in turning around making a positive experience and -- a whole new channel for them to actually see that.
Publicly this is getting resolved right and that now it's like okay will they fixed it for me that's Graham and also -- that out you.
Yes you know how to -- of playing devil's advocate here a little bit moments ago Reuters and it's just put out of currency would in a -- -- -- not got here we go ahead.
A bit hold little idea is that the -- it's the old -- doing this kind of coming back -- May ask people around the world this -- would you rather give up.
Your cell phone then your computer and everybody says cell -- Then they said it will -- on -- sex and obviously -- itself out but then said a social networking site or.
What was the other one.
Or something I don't know not something that I think the -- social networking site or computer and they -- they would give up the social media.
-- -- overwhelmingly so by 58%.
Yeah well you know it it's kinda hard though you know you kinda need one to have the other I like.
That's.
Yeah.
But -- did have a -- from me would be huge because it's also.
Exactly it means a little.
Computer in your pocket -- yeah out of most of our cell phones now are more powerful than our computers were five years ago -- I think that's a little bit of a tricky question it has started making it happen back behind the article real conversation in a phone call can be dismissed despite the fact that social media -- days out there absolutely -- -- it's it's weird to -- -- to see how things have shifted yeah -- time where people.
Communicate via text messages and and emails and status updates instead of actually doing things and in yes.
I just called advertisers -- he's had a complaint and I.
Call them tell them that there it did you not to us.
And I think RA that's going to be a lot of work if we -- have to actually talking -- -- -- learned again.
So you -- them I would have been nice on the phone -- me now.
Sell on heavy -- -- give me a rundown of how people can use your business and her sights.
To make their blogs mourn the the biggest thing that they can do is actually sign up and start.
Receiving offers from advertisers and what we try to do is we're not gonna so they go to things -- IZ I ZEA dot com.
IC EA dot com they can find their various properties off of -- idea website and then depending on what type of social media users they are making -- to the different properties -- if -- sponsored or hear Twitter user you're gonna go to sponsored tweets -- your blogger you're gonna probably go to social spark which is our blog property okay and you basically sign up -- -- -- with a bit about you and then it's it's kind of like magic like you'll just start getting.
Offers from us that say this advertiser wants to pay you.
You know fifty dollars to it to blog about -- do you -- -- do it or not and it's completely up to you when you come up with this idea gosh.
About six years ago now I was looking at what was happening in the social space and that was a very early ends -- -- recently.
And what I recognizes that as soon as people had the opportunity to share their thoughts on line.
That everybody would do it right and now you know faster than I could ever imagine everybody is doing that and that's creating a huge problem for advertisers because.
People's time is so fragmented mountain you know it's not just that I'm watching that one television network of that one radio station I mean -- watching this show.
And on my on my phone at the same time tweeting and my friends gas well maybe should be a psychic or just.
Up a -- that's what you your next calling me in this -- -- -- -- -- -- Founder and CEO -- -- for coming on and a giving lots of people out there who'd like to do something more -- there.
-- block -- -- me aspirations.
Some insight that.
