Not only do you have no job growth happening in this economy.
And certainly the trend now seems to be moving in the wrong direction but now you actually have.
In anemic economic growth to go along with it so it doesn't look like between now November that you're gonna have real substantial meaningful growth to help the president's reelection.
Absolutely not that's fair no matter what side -- that you sit on that the jobs picture is going to be on a relative basis very ugly in November now the president will try to make this a choice between him.
And governor Romney by attacking -- or started doing this to -- pretty much know that's the strategy what about rob.
But he did Romney just sit back and say hey look.
Money is actually playing this very Smart so far Connell and that is he's saying look.
This president has been in office three and a half years his record speaks for itself.
All of the -- millions of Americans are out of work cannot find jobs in that unemployment rate in the underemployment rate and so on.
You know what the Obama economy really as -- -- to say much more beyond that.
What he also needs to do though is put -- a positive compelling reason for voters to vote for him because he got that in just against the other -- because he's gonna be being attacked and we're gonna know every single negative thing.
That Mitt Romney is done in his entire life.
And -- percent aisle seat negative -- know everything.
-- -- -- Obama's -- started doing that here's what I think that's got backfires and doesn't work and it looks like it's already not working.
Is because he Obama -- 2008 was built on this concept of hope and change that Obama is a different kind of leader he was gonna bring us all together via transcendent figure and the kind of sit above -- all.
For him not to take that brand and purity -- -- by going on the attack demonizing his opponent and frankly looking like every other politician that's out there.
It brings him down he loses that aura of specialness and he also -- -- -- -- of the presidency when he goes along and does that he doesn't have a choice Connell because -- economic record is so bad.
But I think he doesn't have a choice and therefore this is not going to be an easy slog for Barack Obama -- -- a lot of money to spend is raising more of it today and not I know Romney will too but this is as you know we can talk all we want about these broad kind of outlooks on election's going to be a few states it's going to be very close and negative advertising negative political attacks usually work and if you can get a few points in Ohio or Florida wherever you can -- Most of the time it works I think this time will be different for the reason I just laid out about rock Obama actually being the one to do the negative campaigning.
-- look if Mitt Romney just says Obama's record stands for for itself I really don't have to say much about it because you guys are living this economy on the ground every day.
It appears that with a very positive message about yes this country can be saved.
And it's worth saving right here's how we're gonna do it gonna put America back to work and we're gonna get this country going again.
