Few out there right Nicole thank you -- cyber security has been in the news this week with Iran.

Acknowledging it was hit.

By a massive cyber attack a virus has been nine dubbed flame.

Earlier today had a chance to speak with the McAfee co president Michael -- -- from the White House and I asked him.

You know what he made of all this the flame virus Nicholas.

So yeah I know it's obsolete contemplated oppressive the last couple -- days I think you know it's very it's very near to us we've literally just gotten a hold -- it recently in.

You know like stocks and that it will take time for us to to analyze it and try to figure out what it's all about.

But I can tell you so far as a couple of things the first is it's incredibly technically sophisticated.

Probably the most sophisticated thing that our labs organization has seen today.

And then the second more concerning pieces -- -- -- out there in the wild and other organizations can get a hold of that you know where might we see it pop up in the future as well.

Is that what you talked about.

This morning are outlined you know some of the points you wanted to make because they're the White House they're getting.

I -- get this and we obviously government officials and also officials from the securities industry and and try to figure out how big a threat cyber security really is what point did you.

Really emphasize was.

Sure I think well first of all the conference today was more about botnets -- you know we do not know yet if the flavor viruses actually bought -- not so is about a slightly different topic I think they'll botnets overall this represented a you know -- a group of individual machines that get taken over and compromise and then linked together.

And that's where you see a lot of the big denial of service attacks she's seen from the and the and the news of -- so I think you know the biggest -- that we wanted to try to deliver today is just really that.

You know the collaboration between the private sector in the government coming together.

And trying to put the you know the good guys -- a better word on the same -- with the same you know accesses the -- guys trying to solve these problems is an important step.

Well let me ask you big picture question -- along those lines.

Is our level of urgency in your view and you know the industry very well know what we're dealing with is it where it needs to -- and the context -- that in.

Is.

To try to use something of a 9/11 comparison -- traditional.

Terrorism -- terrorist attack on American soil with something a lot of people talked about before 9/11.

But until it really happen until we experienced it.

Some people I think a lot of people's level emergency wasn't where it needed to be general public is is it similar this time -- cyber security -- thinker.

-- I think there's a high level.

Awareness of cyber security across all governments I think.

The reality is is that the on the bad guys are getting more well funded more sophisticated and disclaimer viruses and it is a very good example of that -- just exactly that.

And at that level of sophistication increases.

You have -- level of sophistication of security companies the government's.

-- other private sector's needs to get together and Andy home and be equally as advanced what's sure the biggest -- and it works with companies and -- consulting with governments that keeps you up tonight says boy.

We're not ready for this or we really need to get more ready for this.

It's really around critical infrastructures I think if you look out across.

Different industries where there might be oil or transportation or any of the other and you know industries that we rely on a day to day basis a live our lives.

Are they secured no way they can be kept safe going forward.

Are they not our charter that's our charter is an organization is to make sure that we do.

You know I think that when you look at security the tools are all out there but there's a lot of emphasis on the corporations -- -- governments make sure they're implemented successfully.

Nuts over the biggest concern that I have gone well.

How what how far along are we there and how much more work do we have to do it is their percentage I mean are we do.

Do we need to be much more prepared than we -- RO.

There's a lot of emphasis in work going into this so you know my held by all means they're certainly heightened sense of awareness.

But there's a long way to go current I think is as the sophistication of the threats escalates and get stronger.

You -- the there is the response by private and public industry of you know we're -- those has to get stronger as well.
