But Democrats and Republicans have all all -- on the Wisconsin recall election it is just six days away.
The got to walk up remains in the lead it could this backfire out on the unions who have challenged Governor Walker in this recall.
-- of Wisconsin executive director -- trade is in Milwaukee and he joins us now -- you know put on the show from long time welcome back good to see again.
Oh strictly witness Stuart thanks for having me you know governor -- in the lead in most of the polls you may have internal polling that shows it differently but you know he is in the lead.
You are under recall attempt could backfire badly on the unions nationally could -- office.
Looked at say it's a high stakes election it's gonna come down to turn out the pollsters it's -- -- that election aren't sure who pole with a likely voters are.
Sought the democratic -- turns out in larger numbers expected bend certainly Governor Walker could lose but -- -- slightly had in most public polling.
Why did you have the recall now the vote now instead of November.
Most national Democrats want to get -- hold off until November but you insisted on doing it now why.
It really wasn't very controllable it was a movement on the ground people we're gonna go and get the signatures and about what -- dead and so sort of usual establishment leaders aren't decide they've had to go along with the -- -- because you don't know one of the union guys who would you of organized -- for November if you could have.
It's hard to say it depends what turnout is on to on Tuesday it's really good degree of did it they'll be a lot of kind of yelled looking back -- second gassing of five.
The recall fails but quite frankly you could have presidential level turnout which case that -- -- made it made a difference one way or another body.
Sort of -- be a lot of second guessing if the recall fall short on Tuesday.
-- I'm Rita I'm listening to your voice number reading between the lines you don't sound back confident you are not prepared to come out bag and swinging and insight.
He's gonna lose you know about a say that I.
I'm try to be a straight shooter about that's I think this is an extremely close election I do believe that.
Republican turnout be very high if democratic turnout because we have our constituents are more variable and how much they turn -- they try not the highest level.
Then I think we can win this race but I think it's gonna be an extremely close race.
And Governor Walker spent thirty million dollars which blows all records and so the amount of communications be able -- do.
Mostly without a state money is better off the charts and so he's very difficult to beat and if he's beaten.
It'll be a very close race and I think the fact that he's under 50% and could be beaten as a major upset given how much money he has been able raise and spend on the -- -- half Robin on the national level is this a referendum.
On unions.
I think it's gonna have huge implications I don't think it's any final referendum I think it will be there obviously harmful and other states may follow -- example if you survive the recall though.
A lot governor if they wonder where they wanna go through this kind of a recall process for this kind of uprising.
I think if he loses it certainly will.
-- then kind of appetite for going after about worker rights and other -- so I do think it's important nationally which -- obviously -- talking about -- -- yet that's correct Robert Craig we appreciate you being with us citizens action Wisconsin.
Thanks for joining us so I'm sure we'll see you again real soon thank you.
Thank you still.
