My next guest says and -- could get a multi million dollar pension and taxpayers should have to pick up that -- Republicans more than congressman John Mica joins me now.

Yet but congress -- -- -- -- he may be getting a 100000 dollars a year for the rest of his life.

-- it's.

Possibly may get a lot more than -- that.

Unfortunately.

GSA paid him until this week and now we find out some kind of a -- was cut on -- retirement.

So we plan that we started today and we're gonna investigate when congress goes back next week.

This latest slap in the face to the taxpayers.

Seven million already went down any group appear before a couple committees then he took the fifth any -- the way it felt like -- what.

If congress -- simply losing its power to that this -- justice were Americans and taxpayers.

But you know there's been so many protections put in for civil servants and I think we should keep them but.

Yet this guy has not you know your average Joseph federal employ this has since -- CSS senior executive service.

This is a highly paid administrator that takes him out.

He went before my committee my investigative committee serve and government reform your right.

He took the fifth then he turned around the next day and he thumbed its nose he refused to show up that by committee when you take an -- And you're -- a high position I want your salary cut off immediately and if we have to will change the law.

And then why should this guy I'd be getting huge benefits.

And -- special retirement plan I want that stopped to.

So I have not -- also you obviously gonna have a critics are made really gonna talk about -- process.

In of course those.

You know others who may just not even see this is as a crime of the century.

That a lot of other people's my -- also.

How do you work around that because I I this -- if I understand you -- now but again economics and the -- High level visits.

This is a high level guy this is an average civil service you're trying to protect stuck it out they don't play politics thing it and get rid of they got.

Additionally you know what I wanna do is also go after this guy he needs to pay back and compensate the taxpayer.

For some of that lavish spending putting.

Out money and spending it where he should not spend -- I want that money back for the taxpayers -- somebody's gotta look out for the taxpayer.

In this whole process he shouldn't have even been paid a day after he refused.

To talk to our committee -- come for our committee as a high.

Highly positioned administrative that's wrong we're gonna change and if we have to.

How does how does his work -- representative -- what's the next -- by you put together legislation and then you and you get sponsorship behind it is this is something that could be fast -- While still fresh in the public's mind.

-- have that -- in fact have planned to introduce it as soon as congress returns after Memorial Day.

Will have it up but we started today with our investigative staff when he heard that -- deal had been cut.

We also -- now if he was paid from the day after again he refused to come before us.

I don't want I didn't want him to get up -- from that day forward.

So we're gonna go back in if we have to change the law quickly -- -- we might have been shafted one time as far as congress on the taxpayer.

But we're not gonna let it happen -- -- we have to change the law and the rules that we're gonna do that and also get some of the money back videos the taxpayers.

Why did tell you right now this is something that better be bipartisan because everyone's fuming about and we appreciate the effort that you want -- Yeah I will -- there will be thank you very much we appreciate it.
