It's ago the big slide in the price of -- natural gas those a multi year lows and everything else look at it now it's really come back it's actually up.

This is a one month chart so it's up 40%.

From the year to date lows that were reached last month where the red is on the chart on the left side in the the chairman -- CEO of PG&E.

Tony -- is here we'll talk about that and also all.

Great story heading into Memorial Day weekend how is helping to put -- veterans.

Back to work so they talk to you first is its you know electricity prices and we want to talk about people's heating bills and everything else.

What do you made in this market and no wonder we have put some lows in there that we've come roaring back in the natural gas price.

Well in this is a great.

Energy story I mean the availability of shale gas.

Has totally changed the natural gas markets -- in the late 1970s we actually were prohibited from burning gas and -- -- today.

We now have a glut on the markets I think we're gonna see low prices for a long time.

Obviously they're going to be ups and downs as the market tries to anticipate what the summer is like because a hot summer will draw down some of the gas.

-- but we've got a great energy resource and shale gas in this country so overall people watching and they -- and you would say expect lower.

Prices.

This is just as a general statement.

-- the ingredients to go in -- what your electricity bills going to be month to month a long term lower prices.

Is the stories that right absolutely.

Given the availability of shale gas.

They're gonna stay on the low end of the historic spectrum.

We will see variations -- we -- a hot summer gas will be used to.

Produce electricity and we may see some some minor jumps up.

-- but long term I think you can expect to see gas prices.

You know -- that two to four dollar -- all right -- -- good news for consumers aren't let me try to ask you two more quick questions.

The second is going to be about what -- doing with veterans to get them back to work.

And the first is -- -- be just give me an update on how things are going to your company when you took over it was I don't know this is the right way to put -- -- -- Dubroff was a massive PG -- it's getting better.

Well yeah we had our challenges but we're really focusing on getting back to basics of the company providing really good.

Reliable affordable gas electric service to our customers and our employees of embrace that and we're -- -- some progress on and then you're doing.

Pretty good work I would -- in trying to get veterans.

Back to work to come home from Afghanistan and other places what -- was that exactly.

Yeah our industry has a real challenge we're facing a wave of retirements over the next couple of years.

And we realize that there's a great pool of talent out there in the veterans that are going to be returning.

To this country and so we put together a program called power pathways.

It is gonna train those veterans in the skills that we need in utility business and then link them with the jobs that we've gotten we've been very successful so far and we're now trying to.

Expand that program across the whole utility industry.

In a program called it.

Troops for energy jobs and that program we've got five companies doing pilots that we hope to expand across the country.

Because our whole industry is gonna have this talent shortage.

And we need their skills that these veterans -- bring back -- and that's a big story in enough itself.

Thank you Tony early PG -- need to see -- thanks for coming on knew what I was gonna say the big story not only your veteran but just in general that this is an industry to look at.

If there's a Democrat demographic -- the thanks very much for joining us today.
