We're joined now to talk about the the women's vote the impact.

On this campaign with the president's.

Evolution.

We're joined by Bay Buchanan senior advisory governor Romney former treasurer of the United States under President Reagan.

Author of the new book -- at her boys unexpected lessons are learned as a single mom.

-- it's great to have you with us.

My pleasure entirely -- let let's start with we were looking at real clear politics projections -- -- -- The president looks like he's about 4344.

Votes away from.

Projection that would have him -- 270.

Governor Romney about a hundred points behind.

How vehicles that.

I'm not worried at this stage -- the poll numbers are going to be changing dramatically I I heard the other day at all.

The swing states were running either ahead.

Are even in a number of states and that's enormous movement in just the last thirty days when we finished up its primary we -- way down bought weight behind the president.

And in those days as our parties coming together and we're focused on this economy and jobs and the president awful record.

Things are coming our way I feel extremely positive I feel the movement behind us.

And I can see that the the president's our campaign is is just flawed it's very it's struggling to come up with a message.

Struggling to come up with a message but seemingly successful in not.

At least at this early stage unsuccessful.

In deflecting a public attention and media attention from the record.

Whether it's evolution on gay marriage rather it is in any number of issues.

Except.

The economy.

Joblessness in this country the direction of the country.

Sixteen trillion dollars in national debt.

We -- we need to hear from your candidate.

-- what is gonna do about it and pretty soon.

Not gonna be patient about this won't -- up I wanna answer -- -- apparent up we've started a commercial.

Listen they're the governor has gone from state to state he's -- every week when the message she has out there is about jobs about how we're gonna create these jobs.

It's about the reckless spending these huge deficits.

This huge debt and he has committed to stopping that kind of a reckless spending.

To get those Dag on decked out and he has a plan there's no question he's laid out some of in the primary -- continue to lay it out.

But the this is the issue.

It is the economy there's no question about it actually the American people are concerned about this -- anemic recovery is sputtering to a -- on.

I stop here and Americans need to start working again and businesses need to start -- that's what it's all about.

It's what it's I would.

I would certainly say that that's what it's fundamentally about.

But the quality of life in this country is -- looted the presidential campaign discussions and conversations for some time now.

This is a presidential candidate and governor Romney.

Who is if ever there who was a the -- and salute embodiment of family values he appears to be yet.

And I appreciated when the governor says -- it's all about the economy and we're not stupid.

But it is also about the quality of life in this country about.

The values of this of this country.

And the family that's been on assault not from gay marriage.

But by a society that is lost its way and so many important respects.

Surely he's going to address -- and do so -- great energy and the fact.

He's certainly isn't -- -- begun at Liberty University give terrific speech down there where he addressed that would be what's really important about life.

And what young people should be focused on.

Hand and debt.

That life is about.

Are living at the right way in and it's about family and it's about those kids I just wrote a whole book on on raising children is a single mom.

And bail and her boys absolutely and it's so critical that.

Americans recognize that we have to take responsibility for families and for our kids.

Whether you're single you're married that's our obligation our responsibility.

And -- can do what you can do it well and there's no excuse were frightened for those kids.

And there's this.

I couldn't make you more this is an important aspect of this campaign.

That people.

Can have jobs have opportunities she that their kids will have opportunities in their future they have dreams and hopes to.

And all those construct to live those and work our heads -- in pull our families together and see that there's a better future for each member and you can't do that.

Without an economy that's frightening and it's it's providing that energy so that people will start to hire again.

Well there's this you know this all out until I get it is scared to death of anybody right now talk and hope and change because they have been.

Frustrated and disappointed by this president.

His record they have heard George W.

Bush make similar promises.

In his administration in his campaign's.

I it's going to be very important message obviously to get through no one could be -- more able.

-- and supporters of the governor's efforts than Bay Buchanan.

It's always good talk -- Thank you -- which.

Maybe it and it and the book kids.

-- and her voice unexpected lessons I learned as a single mom you'll love -- it's up on Lou Dobbs dot com we recommend -- highly up next.
