Focus all the way up to governor Andrew Cuomo publicly questioned the more than half million dollar pay package -- -- schools superintendent on Long Island.

It took eighteen year old high school ceemea to make it a real issue.

Josh Alaska's and a ran into the school board in -- -- New York to protest that salary last night he want he didn't just win.

He won by a landslide I believe -- got 82% of the vote.

This is under an outrageous salary at a time when -- freezing teacher's salary is you're getting a half million dollars in yeah you want European.

What are you gonna do about it.

Well my most immediate action is as of last night -- an elected official and I'm now an eligible for my intern -- with congressman Steve Israel DC some searching for a new -- -- this summer OK but in regards to her pay package the damage has been done.

The school board unanimously voted to -- -- -- when he sixteen.

What I'd like to do is change the culture on the school board to make sure that the next superintendent contracts and all contracts for that sake.

Are not as egregious as the -- she received in June of 2011 are you the only member of the school board that feels this way.

Now thankfully another independent thinker Christopher 01 last night as well.

And the both of us think the -- -- and -- wait too much money.

And apparently so are the taxpayers -- 82% of the wraps off about 4700 of them absolutely that's the sort of 82% what voted for you -- there to be in.

And now straighten me out the salary is was 540000.

It's hovering around half a million dollars and -- roughly half a million and change -- that books as well.

Well I mean the parts are tremendous you know my friends I read the entire contract through 186.

Days 45 vacation days.

You guys have private sector jobs are your contracts like that.

I would say a word they hung around here they don't give me any time.

Vacation days and that's what the taxpayers are looking over the contract -- the taxpayers are saying.

You know we have to sacrifice for our families how come weren't dozing and egregious -- like.

Keep looking keep looking at individual teacher and administrator salaries below the superintendent.

Because if they had his rotten the body is just if I go to -- go to.

-- how cut how did it get to this point everybody around this table and everybody and in your school district is how raised with the details emerge so why didn't they have -- -- why is now although -- finding out about this kind of thing want.

It's because for the last six years we've had uncontested elections.

In democracy when you have an uncontested election you can do whatever you choose because nobody is challenging -- -- it's been over a decade since an opposition candidate like myself.

Took a position on a school board so that's how it got the spat with second.

How did you identify yourself as an opposition candidate because what happened was the school administration.

I drew first blood back in September when they labeled my nonprofit organizations say -- -- ousted as promoting teen drinking.

Whereas we focus on Brett preventing any -- else -- -- school student from getting in the car with somebody drinks are driven by somebody drinks when they drew first blood.

Never give up your principles and don't sell out.

My peers came on supported me last -- by the hundreds are at a record turnout I acknowledge that we energize an entire senior class to get out there and vote.

Kids were -- their parents found the vote it was a wonderful civics lesson and all the kids got a real education and politics -- -- this -- -- special.

So -- eighteen years old now so somewhere around the presidential election of 2052.
