Thanks so much for joining if you're -- organization of large users of first class mail our impression is that there aren't a lot of large users of first class mail that's sort of the problem losing your group.

Well well Melissa first thanks for having me our group actually in the coalition covers the entire.

One point one trillion dollar industry that depends on the Postal Service.

That is everybody from the Paper and printing companies through technology companies through mailers of every stripe not just those in first class whether we're talking about.

Magazines catalogs newspapers.

Advertising mail.

Everybody parcel shipper is fulfillment of prescriptions.

Online companies such as eBay and Amazon.

All of those folks are in this huge industry in nearly all of them are members of this coalition.

-- you're concerned about what's gonna happen to the post office I mean on your website you have a countdown clock until the post -- is I don't know but -- out of money or goes out of business.

What is your solution.

Well.

There's two things have happened.

One is we need the Postal Service to restructure.

And conform its size to the -- business that is -- that it's likely to have.

For the foreseeable future -- you -- workers and shut down some of the -- post office says.

Now what we want them to do is.

To reduce their overall size whether you're talking about.

Processing facilities and restructuring their network to its considerable degree along the lines of what they've already proposed.

To reduce the size of the workforce but we prefer the method that's in the senate bill which is to provide incentives.

For -- Literally a 100000.

Of their workers.

Who.

Almost all of whom are already well past.

Retirement age they have a huge number by employees who were you know we met 55 to 65.

Age range and some even older.

But you know we have -- postmaster general on himself -- he said that the legislation that's out there right now that you're talking about doesn't go far enough to help -- save the post office do you agree with well.

You have you have two different.

Bills one that's already passed the senate one that's pending in the house and we hope the house will follow the senate and move quickly on its bill.

Between the two bills are good things I'm both sides between the two bills you get.

Both restructuring more latitude for the Postal Service to restructure out of -- house bill.

And more help for the Postal Service both financially and we have a number of other specifics.

In the senate -- OK what if we can get the conference and get one package together that will.

Provide the kind of short term and long term relief -- the Postal Service needs that national institution that still.
