Ember of hope in the job market Peter joining us from inside the -- -- I tried Dennis economist breathing a little sigh of relief this morning with the weekly unemployment insurance claims numbers.
No big drop in the numbers but no sign of a major reversal.
In claims as we saw last month.
First time claims were 367000.
Last week down a thousand from the previous week.
Previous week was revised upward by 3000 claims -- 368000.
But a few weeks ago we saw claims spiking back up.
Towards 400000.
A week.
That -- got folks very nervous about another possible spring -- -- the economy and the labor markets as we saw in 2010 and 2011 but now economists think that this was just perhaps noise related to seasonal distortions are around the Easter and passover holidays -- us.
