It is no secret that Toyota had a tough year that was because of Japan's -- tsunami.

About the latest profit reports show it made a dramatic comeback format Edmonds -- -- -- -- -- Joins us today called welcome back to the program always good -- -- What I did Iraq in saying that Toyota is really coming back strong and that it may emerge again.

As what I'm gonna call -- -- a value judgment the world's premier car company.

Well certainly that's what.

Because they're coming -- a year where they're down again so I think there's he's done a great job of kind of shifting the focus into the future.

And the last quarter did look really good but you know this is a competitive market more competitive than it's ever been.

You know last time they had a new -- in 2007.

There was no real strength coming from companies like you know even Hyundai was just really start to come on and certainly General Motors and Ford -- -- what they are today.

They've got the fusion you've got the -- You've got the new Malibu.

This is not the same market that -- you know was chasing the last time.

It -- have been.

Just a couple of days ago we were reporting that Toyota's profits have quadrupled now that's a comeback how to do it.

Well I think they've finally got their sales back up you know in just this last quarter and they've got their supply chain fixed from the disasters they had last last year it yeah -- so it is that they come back in the sense that they come back from a a disastrous tsunami a -- and understand that -- -- back.

But what extra all they doing how they got a are they really gonna move forward and take back that position as the world's number one car company solid sales and profits but just in reputation.

Well I think they've I think they will over time I don't think it.

I don't know that's gonna happen in the next year -- Stuart I think that's pretty optimistic.

You know assumption again they're facing a really tough market now it's this is this is that this is.

More competitive market than they've ever come into before and a lot of these wandering eyes that left Toyota over the last two or three years for various problems have found a lot of other nice cars to consider.

So that just another -- company.

Well I think I think that's what a lot of people realized over the last couple years -- when they when they start having problems lot of their loyalists took another look around they realized.

Nobody's other cars -- as much or more interest -- fun to drive they have about the same quality levels.

And I don't think Toyota stands out as this -- like it did for decades equally and that is bad right what's going to be tough it did yeah stood -- -- was the cost to data go fall.
