Unable to come together on dealing with our nation's out of -- -- spending and debt.

We got joins me now with his two cents -- so that Lou Dobbs tonight right here on the Fox Business Network.

Will welcome back to the show great to have you with this group you know.

We've spent so much time today talking about the gridlock and and what can't get done in Washington while we cannot do we can't find any common ground on the budget.

We can't can't find any congrats even on simple things like this student loan debt.

What do you say is it worse than it's ever been.

I X I don't think so I I think we've seen worst periods for partisanship but that's what you mean certainly worst periods for alienation.

In in the country's history -- particularly so over the last 34 years.

But I really don't believe that your -- we've seen worse in terms of leadership.

Both parties are led by it seems to be to me at least to be extraordinarily constrained.

Talents that there seemed to lack imagination.

As well as the ability to articulate -- hopefully we will see those visions articulated by this president.

It's a simple thing that we as American task of our leaders and that's to tell us what our future -- like.

And assure that future.

We have not heard a single man or woman running for president over the course of the past decade.

Say -- was that you as Americans following my leadership.

Will witness this reality and five to ten years -- just not.

It hasn't it hasn't had room.

There is no forward looking mechanism there did you say that we're looking -- did you send forward the cook cook.

Well let me ask you this give the president did say -- bank -- yesterday which I thought was fascinating.

He told congress I have a five point plan that putting -- -- yellow sticky and I want you to pass.

Now hot I would be so insulted up I was congress.

And the list included many of its favorite programs many of which you know a Republican in that house is already put forward legislation on.

It was just fascinating to me the -- bull -- he's using on these legislators now I.

It it's it's a bull -- I think if -- if there's a bull -- involved itself modulation for the president because I thought speaker Boehner is he responded to you.

Was remarkably civil.

And and discipline.

Because the idea that the president.

Wouldn't himself not have a list before his administration.

One to which he could be held accountable.

And has the the temerity.

To suggest here.

Little congress these are few things for you to do.

It's remarkable -- condescension.

I thought speaker Boehner did very very well not to respond to you is surely he must've wanted to.

I well you read me as a reporter exactly right -- I wouldn't didn't say that which I that was really interesting you said the president checked out months ago.

Because he's been on the campaign trail.

And I guess for somebody who watches how public dollars are spent and that's what I spent a lot of my time dealing room watching tax payers.

Pick up the tab for the president's campaign is.

Off putting in -- -- what do you say I.

I think that is among some things are gonna report.

Tonight it is the fact that the president managed to work -- a campaign slogan.

Three times within minutes space what was the official speech after all.

And I think when we talk about the waste of taxpayer money there's a reason that Tea Party candidates.

-- who are winning and you're about to win in primary elections in this country.

That is because Americans want their government reined in.

They want -- spending and as we listened to these two these leaders with whom you've -- this hour.

And I I have to say day.

It seems there's a lot of people don't get it both parties.

The fact is we want smaller government we want responsible and effective government and we've just about have a belly full.

Have anyone who would suggest that this country should run successive federal budget deficits.

In excess.

One trillion dollars this year one point three trillion dollars and that a national debt that now.

It is approaching quickly rapidly sixteen trillion dollars this is sheer madness.

-- can't go on except that it does and it doubts.

Because each and every day -- you know each and every day we're holding four billion dollars adding four billion dollars.

To our national debt it is as you say a tragedy.

And I can't wait for your show tonight it sounds like you've got a lot of great stuff -- it.
