Now the president giving himself a shutout I mean -- -- just doesn't get enough attention that's -- How.

Joining us now to run through the leading psychologists in the country doctor Jeff regard -- psychologist assistant clinical professor of -- -- college.

Of osteopathic medicine psychotherapist doctor Robbie Lodwick thank you -- It was a -- -- -- let's Begin with you at the president couldn't resist and me.

It's well I guess he wanted to remind everybody about the good things that he's done and let's say if you are present then.

-- someone who likes praise you have to deal with a lot of criticism but here's somebody who likes the idea both aggrandizing -- -- Brandeis.

As accepting that is true I I don't recall ever hearing.

Dwight David Eisenhower for example John F.

Kennedy in and I in my career covering presence on -- -- one.

Refer to in south.

We become more obviously narcissistic as we've -- -- Societal thing not an -- alright Jack well we did see one now fly on to an aircraft carrier I remember that one.

But that being said this is so out of character for President Obama.

This is the one who the president who we've often criticized for just not talking enough about himself.

Not being active enough in in the way that he presents sites Arizona being just so so quiet.

And now we seeing and -- the first person reference I know you have man is so guarded about his ego couldn't agree with you -- And and and we're but since I -- my doesn't why are we really are.

Work I mean if it's someone praises themselves to other people buy into it.

I mean freeze is generally more powerful -- somebody else is doing it's coming from someone else and -- someone point out that I mother tells someone pointed out real heroes don't brag about what I -- they let other people talk about their content.

Absolutely and and spiking the football as as.

Football players are want to do when they make a spectacular place said he wouldn't spiked above all.

I he's been on a bit of a spike.

Tour has it.

I think so but look it's it's all about -- politics it's all about.

The election.

And now he really has to pull -- -- rabbit out of the hat because quite frankly he is in trouble we see the numbers yeah this is the fight of his life.

And -- every opportunity is basically like a commercial for -- -- political career.

If it's sort of strange because if you watch this happen we've got -- Romney sort of seemingly at least.

Coming out of themselves because you both -- the fact that man is it's it argues the expression stiff as a board.

Person but he seems to be warming up to the occasion he seems to -- my wrong but here's what's really interesting and.

And we've talked about.

Governor Romney Romney with the Etch A Sketch -- and flip flopping but now he seems to be very consistent in his persona.

He seems to be very even in the way that he presents himself.

And now we're -- with President Obama.

All real flip flopped.

As to being -- very the quiet man to now singing his own praises and I think people are a little bit thrown off by that and that's what we've been hearing this criticism.

Was anybody thrown by new Gingrich -- going on ad nauseam with first person references are from the Republican side we rears to the democratic side of your your purse.

That's it -- well I'm not surprised by anything Gingrich does there is a bit of that I talk and Ed -- here I mean he was just disdainful.

Yeah savior.

Now well I mean Gingrich is kind of -- self focused kind of -- -- even look at his personal history in terms of his multiple affairs and how he handled.

That piece of his life.

I mean it would suggest that he cares a lot about himself -- his impulses first so I don't think it's surprising but it is off Uday and.

And we do reinforce and we were reinforcing his behavior for a very long time.

And that guy he was someone was very dear friend he was a genius he has all these great idea -- is.

He's different from the pack and people borrowing that sort.

Positive you know I -- a path for everything just because you're in Kenya right now.

If you think you're genius you can pretty well you know getting I'm -- yourself a -- you you can -- -- -- -- -- -- -- There is as a society what are we do.

We're sitting here with all of these problems like news on the -- talk -- pointing out.

We're staring -- half which.

Dollars a year in tax increases in the face we've got a choice to make.

We we've got and body politic that is hurting because of our economy.

Our 23 million America we have got huge issues we're staring in the face a fiscal policy disaster.

Are we going to continue our denial or are we going to -- -- and what.

-- bet that and that's exactly what it is it is denial there -- a lot of scary things out there people afraid of change.

And they know that it's going to take a tremendous amount of change.

With a military spending.

Domestic spending.

And people just don't want to acknowledge that right now because they're already hurting from the economy and all of the other bad things that have been happening in the world so we've grown into this psychological cocoon but when it does hit I think we're going to see a lot more people acting out.

Whether it's crime whether it's against their families because it will be as a good friend of mine likes to say a real.

Culture shock.

Well I think we want to put our hands in in a leader who can handle the -- that the economy successfully.

And that's what makes Mitt Romney still attractive because he is a successful businessman.

So I think the hope is.

Maybe he can look at what's going wrong with our economy and our taxes in the way we're spending.

And fix things that need to -- that well you may get.

-- -- -- -- that -- a candidate but yeah not that attractive in those.

Mama -- what do they call well I don't think people vote on your -- Well they may I did not managing -- Cut half a bargaining involved and congress that is what psychologically jet -- and I'm giving you our time is your psychologist -- you talk about how attractive on seems go ahead with his most -- go right down the middle you doctor had.

The bigger doctors going a little people honest there have proper disability with a thank you very much say thank you appreciated -- right up next he already had the mainstream media in his.
