The White House says that that's a 2.2 percent economic growth -- is quote encouraging.

But according to a Fox News poll 83% of us think the US is still in recession and today.

We have that extremely weak report on private sector job creation.

Fox News political analyst Juan Williams has let us from DC want.

I do not accept the administration spin on the economy.

I think they're trying to make mediocrity OK and it's not what -- you.

Well I think that I just listening to you Stuart you said Wall Street's doing very well thirteen hundred with a thirteen three I think you said just a few days ago.

I think that's where the big poll is to be considered because that people have to put their money on the table they investment right now.

Americans are looking to invest and there's a question that the second thing to say is in terms of consumer spending what we saw in the last quarter is consumer spending was strong.

The problem is in hiring that people who are in the business of hiring looking down the road this trying to -- You know perceive what's gonna come in terms of consumer demand are not confident they think that there's lots of problems that -- reopen European it was Eddie long leads -- What -- -- -- is the administration's.

Approach to its characterization.

Of this.

There is -- evidence that the economy is slowing down all over again -- look I know it's an election year and and I expect the president to defend his -- as best he can.

That -- say that it's somehow encouraging.

When growth comes down to 2% as opposed to 3% I think that's misleading.

Best thing that goes too far I think we're gonna get to the truth of the matter is send out.

You know when not in good shape.

Well I don't think we're in great shape either I think that's what you see in that 80% number that comes when you ask people I think.

All of us have a sense that you know wet if we could be doing better we should be doing a better -- book launch -- I think that a car -- -- -- -- I'm -- industry.

I hate to do this but look.

But -- do what will the president accept no blame.

Of this.

-- does it not accept any blame that his policies created this slow growth big debt high unemployment economy.

You know I think they're sort of if you want the White House spin on this obviously the White House spin on this is.

And I think you've heard this refrain time and again that didn't demand inherited a terrible economy that was on the verge of not only recession but depression.

So I think what they're spinning is again that White House spin would be.

We've been on a steady trajectory in which the economy actually has been adding jobs but what ever.

Everybody says including a White House in the midst -- there's been because they know Stuart Varney is looking over their shoulder is we're not where we should be that clearly we would like to have.

More accelerated growth at this point and it's just not happening and they do not take blame Stewart now I'm off this -- -- back to -- talk -- you.

They don't take blame for the stimulus they don't take blame for economic policies that Republicans say.

Have in fact hinder the -- the pace of the recovery would you just about twenty seconds would you put yourself right in that Sentelle.

-- the democratic politics.

All on its right wing will what well you in relation to your colleagues and among Democrats.

I don't know what issued karma to talk about social issues economic issues and they're -- just -- have look I work we I work here bucks a pack it -- so.

Would you describe yourself as a -- the Democrat.

Well we think -- an honest guy.

And we like counting on the show what I appreciate faster -- I'm sure how to shoot out producing on -- and a -- -- -- -- that will be back to normal the tax effect.
