At the same time he spoke to the left and right why can't we get out right now.
Because we don't want Afghanistan to become a breeding ground for future terrorist and he says.
When people say to him well why I think any date because he said we're not in the nation building business so to me that hits the right tell.
I don't -- I think that you earlier Lou I think it's unseemly a little bit to play on the death of bin Laden -- exercise as I understand we're in a political season so I I just take it with a big grain of salt and hope he doesn't continue down that path.
And he said we are pursuing a negotiated.

And how do you think that's gonna go down with the American people.
It's a little hard to swallow but we can't beat them out right.

Coax them it's a tricky business that Americans are used to people used to a clear enemy we go when we smash and we're done.
That's sort of war we like and that's sort of war we can't happen Afghanistan.
And this incredibly frustrating.

Tied to me is tolerable collar guy who who got lucky in this and got to do this for a living and I must tell you that people out of the social -- that I came out of fought this war.
And they ought to been treated with a little bit more dignity in this ought not to be made such political.

It doesn't seem to amount to the truth the truth is this is the longest running conflict in American history.
We're not talking about a negotiated peace we're talking about a resolution.

Morocco Obama's mission to get bin Laden did and you know -- goes where credit's due.
There's so little credit.
Do our generals who have not brought us victory in Afghanistan.
So much pride in the troops who font valiantly it was great sacrifice and Afghanistan.
But much accounting to be done on the part of this congress and this government.
