Thank you -- while the -- economy grew by just 2.2 percent the first quarter this year critics say.
That the Obama administration just isn't doing enough but still 2.2 percent it's still grow -- technically.
And we just had a real good report on April may affect the entry of ten to cohost of the five on Fox -- is here.
You know hop lot of people gonna say we're moving in the right direction and therefore the president -- policies are beginning to work.
Why stop it now well we're not teetering on a cliff which we were before so it really is all relative and that's how they're gonna spin it.
We brought this country back from the depth of you know.
Look it's not where it needs to be you ask any college student half of college students.
Are unemployed underemployment is in double digits I -- worked on Capitol Hill unemployment rate was at 5%.
They were screaming every month George Bush was adding jobs.
5% Nancy Pelosi said this is ridiculous I love the pull up that but it Charles and show it now so you see health care premiums going up.
Still the housing market is -- back where it needs to -- but any small growth of course they're gonna jump up and -- it's -- about but it's what the voters at home feel.
And I don't know how many voters if you look at the actual polling of right track wrong track and is this country going in the right direction.
Overwhelming majority say it's not I guess that's a -- I guess the argument though is okay you're right about that but one thing you just -- obviously is moving in the right direction secondly.
Should we give the president another chance to keep this going to do we trust the Mitt Romney has a better game plan had he been able to articulate that he's got a better plan.
He hasn't yet I hope that he does he has the opportunity to I think that.
As campaigning goes President Obama the better campaigner he's made an art at a that he doesn't more than he actually does -- rules -- US president.
But Mitt Romney I think would make an excellent excellent commander in chief just looking his record he just hasn't.
Figured out a way to communicate it yet but I think the overriding theme have to be how Clinton.
And differently the business environment still is today.
While some of these economic numbers might show temporary growth there.
You know that maybe we bottomed out it's about future growth and as we mentioned earlier in the hour.
We're looking at major large from the biggest corporations the United States that are sitting on hordes of cash trillions of dollars in cash.
But they're not willing to spend it should they don't feel better about what's going on right now and -- looking out into the future -- not going to be hiring or because they don't know how he's gonna handle the second term.
I mean if he comes in in -- second term is he going to be even -- yes Republican congress the imperialists president.
And think about it like this no president in US history.
Has had the purse strings.
And the ability to spend and spend and spend he -- President Obama and this is to 2.2.
Is all he could get -- with unlimited money that's pretty.
The market think -- played a great game with respect to expectations yeah I think he's lowered expectations so much in America with the idea that oh for a while it was gas prices are gonna go further -- and unemployment gonna stay so high and and marketing will never recover manufacturing will -- recover probably.
Hey you put the expectations even -- those things when he's a well rounded out there the expectations has been so low that when we have a performance it's just this being.
It seems huge in the world -- I actually disagree I think this White House is a huge issue with expectations I think that they promised and they always over promise.
On everything and that's -- I think the issue that Obama's having to deal with is he promised these kids jobs he promised he would reform the way that Washington does business he promised to be friendly to the business community.
Grandiose promises when compared with featured in the coming out curing cancer I mean there is no promise that this man didn't make.
And he is really under performed well -- With a helpful media.
Maybe he's able to do what you're saying I think in -- look at all this growth at the headline -- the Washington Post its yesterday mean you would think that we are the best we've ever been.
And that's just based -- what -- -- what I've said and read you and you look at your portfolio as you look your situation families kids do -- that the.
Not -- on the back of superlatives are ten superlatives in his bag and all of them are great except one which is encouraging and that's all you can use so far thus far at least with the GDP number.
But you're right you know somehow Mitt Romney's got to figure out a way because I think mart's got a great point the American public.
It's celebrating mediocrity to a point only because they heard that it could be a lot worse and that's the narrative that seems to be actually -- can't.
Yeah Charles he can't go to Florida and talk about the GM -- you have voters in Florida going my Social Security is in jeopardy and that -- -- about -- -- terms you are you are actually these are president amplified as far as I'm the smog -- -- it's twenty bucks that I gave it to say that --
