Our next guest -- we're governor Romney today as he campaigned in New Hampshire joining us tonight.
Romney supporter former New Hampshire governor Johnson and -- also White House chief of staff for president George Bush good to have you with us governor.
Thank you it's good to be -- low -- let's start with the this.
This business about whether or not there Romney would have gone after.
Bin Laden are you taken aback by that -- -- this is this charge from the Obama campaign.
It just shows.
You how little.
President Obama understands the presidency.
No president would have failed to give that order given the information that was available.
And with all due respect even -- Obama made that decision.
If you look at the memo and the time magazine.
He did it in such a way that he was.
Putting admiral Mike -- on notice that if he screwed up the process and making the final decisions to go in -- who would be emigre evens fault.
So he made a decision.
And then he put out a message to the people that had to be executed in such a way.
That it was their responsibility to succeed and -- it failed they had a problem.
And V in -- in the sense that he is attacking our governor Romney here.
They are on what is effectively a hypothetical.
What is that what are the risk for him and in so doing.
If it goes with ego.
The man doesn't understand.
That other presidents have made equally difficult decisions and that president's.
We've been lucky is a country that presidents do -- will make it.
He does understand Mitt Romney would would as president have made that and he's trying to make himself exceptional.
In that way.
And he isn't.
Embracing if you will -- American exceptional as a at least one person that's exactly right that's gonna last as the last and only place C acknowledges it.
Governor -- Let's turn to as two.
Newton New Hampshire.
Kelly.
Senator I got -- vice presidential candidate.
She's apparently on the list third tell us what you think of the idea.
Kelly's.
A great senator she was a great attorney general -- here.
She understands that you fix budget problems by cutting spending not by raising taxes.
She has impressed her colleagues on both sides of the aisle in Washington.
And and she would make a great choice there's two sides to -- -- And I think the only thing that that I can think of that's not a strong positive for senator -- got.
Is that she too is from the northeast end and you may not want to have both candidates from the northeast.
-- one -- prominent from the southeast and -- of course senator Marco Rubio.
Talking today with -- -- -- on the Fox News Channel.
-- he what do you think of him is a is a the most attractive.
-- a potential choice.
Look I think senator they got senator rubio senator -- men.
-- we can spend ten minutes here Mitt Romney's got a huge selection of potentially excellent candidates for vice president.
It's the kind of problem you like to have it's going to be a tough choice.
But you're selecting from very good people I think Marco for example you brought his name up is an excellent choice and so is Rob Portman and so is Kelly -- Let let let's turn to the other side of that ledger you mentioned former President Bill Clinton.
Are endorsing President Obama -- -- with an interesting choice of words saying quote.
Walk referring to the president.
The man's not Houdini all he can do is beat the clock.
Is that as powerful an endorsement as you would've expected problem.
Man's not Jerry sign -- either.
The fact this is is that.
This this.
Relationships they have between the clintons and that and President Obama that that has not completely gone away.
Hillary Clinton I think is done probably the best job of any cabinet officer in this administration.
And -- President Clinton is a good Democrat endorsing a Democrat for reelection.
But that the lack of enthusiasm there is sort of its own subtle message.
Art and there is something subtle I think any shift here -- that is that the president's disapproval now moving ahead of his approval rating on the latest Gallup tracking.
Also in the Gallup tracking the individual the presidential tracking poll.
That that approval rating moving below -- is.
Disapproval rating and governor Romney moving a point ahead of him in the head to head.
What do you make of it.
I think you're going to see that trend continue.
Probably up to the Democratic Convention he'll probably get a positive bump.
At the Democratic Convention but I think the reality is that as more and more people start paying attention to this election.
And start recognizing that they don't like 23 million people unemployed or underemployed and as -- young folks the graduate from college in June.
Find out that half of them can't find jobs and as folks Begin to understand.
The what this administration has failed to do in dealing with the economy as they pay attention.
His approval rating will dwindle down and and the margin will grow and grow in governor Romney's favorite this is going to be.
As you look at the polls on a weekly basis that'll be the death of a thousand cuts for President Obama.
Governor Johnson and thanks for being here.
