Get tonight.

Tax hikes for pensions on the table here not education that's what California taxpayers are learning.

Despite California governor Jerry Brown's promise is the revenue from its proposed tax increases were going to the classroom.

Guess what it's heading to fill that state teachers' pension fund Republican strategist Michael Reagan joins us from California.

Hi Michael great to have you back what do you make of this.

Well.

Today the governor California capitulated completely to the left.

In the state of California capitulate and unions which he helped put in place when he was -- The first time around -- California learned nothing and re elected him to the governorship just a couple of years ago.

But again it's like playing three card Monty here in the state of California.

Just a couple of weeks ago.

The state of California assembly voted -- a billion dollars from education.

Given the low income housing because they knew that we wouldn't go the polls and vote to increase our taxes they gave money to low income housing so they shorted.

The Education Department now what are they doing.

They want -- to vote to raise our taxes -- -- going to education but the truth is it's going to pay off the five do you hundred.

Billion dollars in the -- the pensions have us well -- California and Michael along my will be in receivership.

Wow that's a prediction and a half California obviously have a lot of problems but.

Hit in boaters I -- they're in favor of this do they understand what it's all about hurt our people wrote laboring under some pretense that it's actually gonna help kids in the classroom.

Down most of the Smart voters in the state of going to Utah have gone to Texas have gone -- -- have gone to Arizona and left.

Just us back here to in fact fend for ourselves state of California.

Yeah this very California -- 40% of the people here don't pay taxes at all what's really interest figures.

That the middle class pays nine point 3% in taxes which is more than most states charge millionaires.

And yet they keep on going and voting to increased -- taxes thinking that it's going to go somewhere other than where it will in fact go it is absolutely.

Are unconscionable what is going on the state and guess what this -- doing nothing to fix the problem and -- the voter.

We keep -- loading this onto ourselves.

-- -- yourself GM nine million dollar deficit the jobless rate there.

Is 11% my understanding of the tax hike and -- you correct me if I'm wrong you're the expert here.

Is that it comes mostly from an increased tax on people making 200 -- Dollars and more.

Yet 200000 -- -- thousand dollars if you're living in -- -- Joseph Missouri where my mother was raised.

Or other places in the middle part of this country may is a lot of money or could be a lot of money -- thousand dollars -- state of California.

You can't buy anything in San Francisco anything in Los Angeles for 200000 dollars a home to live.

That's why you see young people both people thirty years old 35 years old.

Leaving the state and going elsewhere to put in their roots and -- raise their family.

And have a chance at home ownership because it's impossible in the state of California look what the governor did today.

The governor they -- executive order that's gonna chase more businesses.

Out of the state we're losing over five businesses a week in the state of California.

Going to other states it'll be more after the executive order in fact go to the place which it will.

Causing businesses to have to create their own electrical grid.

To be a business out after 20/20 -- out.

So I think you're talking about here is that.

50% of new buildings.

Have to be with a -- zero net energy by 20/20 what that means there is they have to develop all their power on some -- Using solar or wind -- this is the craziest thing I have.

Do you guys just wanna go out of business completely get a death -- -- -- there on the left coast.

You tell me we only.

Virtually one.

I know that's going -- probably.

Be better off because of that.

Will be the hipster population in this state because it could be very busy running in circles to generate electricity.

For the houses.

And the businesses that they're going to have to create electricity or we may even have -- legal hamsters.

They still look there I liked California and ideally because I couldn't figure out how to -- artichoke.

Very complicated.

Part of jokes are great hey aren't just -- -- capital world.

That we still have the beaches but you know -- There's a lot of people I know who -- saying to hell with the beach and the hell with the sunshine.

I've gotta live I've got to make a living.

And I got picture in my family and that is no longer possible in the state of California if you're middle class actors to classes in this state.

And and that's that won't lower class -- you know lower middle income and goes very very rich both -- -- little.

Are getting buried by this there is so bad here.

Even the illegals have left.

It's tough.

-- states doing a far far better job Michael thanks for coming on talking to us about it we really appreciate your time thank you.
