Governor Romney now firmly in general election mode as well all of the governor setting his sights on President Obama and a potential running mate.

Who will that be joining me now parts of his political analyst Juan Williams Andrea -- -- co host of the five on fox news' Andrea.

Forgive me for -- so I don't want to anyway presumed bout with governor Romney but.

It -- senators rubio is just all but certain to be his vice president.

MI wrong and what -- in appearances.

I think the Romney campaign wishes it was all but certain and and maybe it is we -- I don't know exactly that's all but certain but he's the logical choice.

What are -- Florida energetic charismatic here's my quick point.

If I'm senator rubio do I want to run now do I wanna be on this ticket or do I wanna be at the top of the taken when he sixteen.

One react if you will through this because this is senator rubio I think suggesting an answer to Andrew's question if we -- -- 34567.

Years from now.

If I do a good job as vice president I'm sorry.

It's all about that -- defended you all got that right they -- -- a good job of the senator instead -- -- vice president.

All have a chance to do all have a chance to do all sorts of things.

Oh my goodness he's been in the job well a little over here -- now RV he's going to be ready right.

You know he's not ready and I think he knows he's not ready but I think the pressures coming from the top here I think people like him they think that he could be.

You know someone who makes a difference although.

Again he has offered.

Concern about exactly how much of a difference he can make with the Hispanic vote that so critical to.

Mitt Romney's chances in the general election you know recent polling indicates only a quarter.

Of Hispanics would even take a second look if rubio is on the ticket although it's a quarter more than -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Yeah and is that certainly energize the ticket I think which is what.

The Romney campaign needs another certainly arguments in -- case for running -- Mitt Romney right you get the fund raising list you get your name idea.

I do disagree we -- on one thing I think that he is experienced enough you can't say Senator Obama at the time.

I was experience and -- and not say that senator -- her.

Braves Governor Palin added that being worked out but he thinks he's gonna have to hope we can look campaign.

Well you know way a lot of this is you know from the inside pointed view.

If you talk to this credits a lot of all that we're seeing in all these talks about vice presidential camps on the Republican side it's a reaction to what happened with Palin backing away.

That's what we're hearing lawless talk about who is that a bet these candidates what's your experiential background.

You believe me Republicans are burned by what happened with Palin.

And I this weekend when we saw that the Republicans that Arizona -- Condi Rice was their number one pick.

I think they're looking for people with more experience.

And looking for people with more more experience there there may be greater building.

Motivation.

Governor Romney now seven points behind in the latest Gallup tracking poll behind President Obama.

Who seems to be soaring irrespective of scandals.

Failures and you name it.

It's it's unbelievable I mean I don't think a lot of people make choices based on the vice president but I do think the vice presidential pick I do agree with 110.

Do some harm.

But I think experience is not the issue again Lou I think they're gonna look at where Romney's vulnerable and he's vulnerable in the sense that the Republican Party.

Is not fired up about his candidacy that was the problem with John McCain is well Sarah Palin at least help that.

Well at 18.

Q I was surprised to hear that Lou why aren't -- -- but.

-- okay go ahead -- Well there's guy you let -- -- we acting on the host of the look alright at auction you just heard.

That's not what I always have really strong conservatives say she's not fired up about the -- I mean I'm sitting here thinking wow why would she -- I said the Republican Party one.

-- -- -- I'm pretty fired up because -- should be President Obama as is evident she spends a lot of time working with Bob -- on the 50 -- -- -- -- -- -- get it.

I -- -- but you know last week here in Washington a lot of Tea Party freshman we're saying much the same thing you know -- he's got to come to us we're not gonna jump on the bandwagon with all the other establishment Republicans endorsing him.

But I think today we know what these primaries it's going to be testing to see as it plays out I you know exactly how the conservative Republicans -- when we see the -- The polls tomorrow the Supreme Court on taking up arguments on this senate bill 107 euros on anti illegal immigration law.

The pew research study comes out today saying don't worry about that -- legal immigration they've worked worked regrets are leaving them.

Illegal residents -- leaving that injuring our senator Schumer has hearing took threaten everybody that he's got a pass a law.

If that's its highest -- governed over just a coincidence.

It's not it's political theater Lou I know what you know -- one knows that no matter what the Supreme Court decides.

If they've rule against it the Democrats would do exactly what they do with obamacare -- will demonize the court they'll say it's a political move.

Even if they don't Lou they're going to say the Republicans tried to do this their anti immigrant either way they're gonna -- -- great political theater going into the fall.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- That's what happened today it was political -- -- is exactly right the coming this has no consequence except to appeal to Hispanic voters and say don't forget.

Who's with you it's the Democrats.

I don't think it's going to mitigate the court and now the question then becomes do they go after the court.

Obviously is yes I think this is a very politically activist court we'll see how that plays out very out why my political base -- after the court.

And I think -- and what I do think it's worth.

Taking note.

That Senator McCain the author of the -- comprehensive immigration reform act.

Definitely on the side of that issue that one would think Hispanic voters would like.

Didn't support of -- in 2008 perhaps a lesson for governor Romney -- the Republicans this time around and Andrew thanks for being with this one thank you always.
