To be able to order these dinners and you know these different parties how they get these big suites.
But also how much further does it go -- view on Vegas.
Several trips and -- but several trips to while Palm Springs.
Long extended stays in Hawaii even a trip for the western region going all the way to to New Orleans.
And we wanna see how home much this goes -- outside of GSA how many agencies are involved in.
It's our congressman and here's a deal that did -- is that there is this is basically an issue of the fox guarding the henhouse because it GSA's supposed to help police spending on conferences.
IRS -- tax season.
And the president asking Americans for their fair share and paying more taxes.
We've got the GSA handing out things like bonuses to executives who organized these lavish -- junkets.
What do you make of all that.
I mean it's -- it's egregious I mean -- we just came back from from our district and you know we've got twice the national average on unemployment people are outraged that there could be this type of spending going on out there.
And we really want to get down to the bonuses themselves.
The president issued an executive order saying that -- -- not going to be any more -- bonuses and it was going to be a great pay freeze we -- -- find out why these aid agencies are following the president's directive.
-- -- -- did any unspent stimulus money and up at this.
At the GSA because is GSA workers are treating these junkets like trips to Disneyland for their families -- -- you finding any.
Of the president's stimulus money ending up in the GSA scandal.
We don't know I mean we've certainly had testimony and these whistle blowers have talked about it.
But were actually looking for that -- that's why we want to do this spotted I've been asking for for a year and a half since I've been a committee chair.
Right now on these are these lavish trips -- using the public buildings fund.
Which also has stimulus dollars in there but we're actually trying to go deeper to see exactly how much stimulus -- out there and where it's.
News just be clear we're not sure if the bonuses were part of the president's pay freeze be talking about it overall car culture that's and in and that's an issue here right.
Absolutely by that I mean the president did give an executive order.
You know on -- pay freezes ended a lot of bonuses went out we want to know how they went out if they were following the president's directive -- Right congressman Dan and so good to be -- next there will be tracking the hearings.
