There is no timetable by the campaign.

And the president's job approval rating down and his disapproval rating.

Up 51% disapproval of his performance in April up from 45% disapproval in March.

Our pollsters here box attribute the jump to things like higher gas prices that -- jobs report.

If the president's economic policies have helped or hurt the economy.

Say they have hurt them 31% say they have helped.

When asked their feelings about the nation's financial future 49%.

Said they are not -- they are not can -- -- they're concerned but not scared.

49% said -- flat out scared and those critical swing independent voters will likely decide the election.

They're slightly more scared and that is helping Romney among independents.

Now we also find in this new poll that voters think President Obama is smarter more optimistic and -- trustworthy -- -- -- -- -- on which man the voters trust to fix the economy Romney beats the president.
