I want -- I wanna ask you -- What are you trying to do with this committee what are you gonna get out of this investigation.

Are you looking for more Dutton more overspending.

Are you looking to pin responsibility who authorize the spending are looking to bring some criminal charges what do you wanna get out of this.

They grabbed me out there or going after all of it I mean we.

You know obviously started this with the IG report you know we've been asking for an audit since that time that I became chairman -- -- I'm a freshman coming in but we knew that there was a lot of waste in this one area.

We want to find out how deep this goes.

You know there's obviously a culture of corruption in this one agency but how many other agencies are are doing this on the other agencies -- private slush fund but they're able to hide it away from the taxpayers and hide it away from congress.

The point -- have been made.

That this kind of spending this use of taxpayers' money.

Is not confined to the Obama administration or any Democrat administration surely this is a mindset.

Of people who woke for the government.

And I do believe that that mindset has gotten -- us.

But it is common throughout government would you agree with that.

I do agree you know under any administration this is wrong but certainly what we've seen over the last couple years -- and covering now.

You know these long extended junkets to to Hawaii.

You know -- -- spending a million dollars on.

On bottom Vegas.

I mean this was a lavish party and then they didn't gambling money on top of it I mean this is we've never seen anything like this and government.

I put it to you this is what a lot of our -- -- a site.

There's nothing you can do about this you can't stop this boss.

What you could do is -- say 10%.

From the budget of all government departments if you did that.

And you would force out presumably some of this elaboration wasteful spending what are you sect.

-- Paul Stuart we are gonna stop this committee my committee we're gonna stop it here in this committee and -- For some accountability even if we have to do that through legislation.

The problem what -- would GSA is they've got this slush fund were billions of dollars billions every single year.

Going to this -- because they get all of the rent from all of these.

Millions and millions of square foot of of rental space the government owns across the entire nation.

He doesn't go through the budget process.

It doesn't go through congress.

They have their own a lot of money that just sits there and so we want greater accountability and -- this goes all the way to the top.

You know to the president's appointee.

The CFO have to sign off on much of this so -- gonna we're gonna stop this this corruption fraud it really is they've broken the law they know they've broken a lot of oral accountable.
