Americans are going to be a lot more tight fisted with their tax refunds this year.
More people are planning to save the cash they get back from Uncle Sam instead of spending it.
Of those expecting a refund 44%.
Say they plan to stash some of it in savings up from 42% last year.
That's according to a survey by The National Retail Federation.
If you're getting one this year don't blow it -- -- any high interest credit card debt and invest in yourself the poll shows that nearly 60% of taxpayers will be using their tax refund to pay down their debt.
That's one of the best things you can do you believe your tax refund is -- -- that high interest debt.
You might also want to apply it toward your retirement apply -- toward emergency fund.
Do something constructive -- two out of three taxpayers got a refund last year.
