You know that we've got to start with some news that we're hearing on Twitter -- Connell wanna you tell us about -- well.

-- was a report from an ESPN reporter out of -- this said that Tim Tivo is now being given the choice.

-- -- TV he'd like to go do that he's gonna be allowed to pick Citi minute trade.

-- -- heard anything like this before but this is the idea would be the Broncos and said hey we have a trade with the jets we also have a trade with Jacksonville.

And you -- T bill can -- you wanna go your hometown team in Jacksonville or do you wanna come to new York and you know -- -- specialist for the jets.

So bad Jim O'Neill -- this is -- shock her how do you respond.

I don't think it's a shocker role as a matter of fact it's John Elway basically saying.

You know you get a chance to pick and choose where you wanna go it I think it's a wonderful thing for the Denver Broncos knowing that he's gone.

But giving him a chance to say okay where do you think you can best go and have an opportunity to can be I do not believe it's the New York Jets I believe it would be a disaster.

If he wound up in the jets.

For the Miami Dolphins and -- the Jacksonville Jaguars it would become a bonanza because you were talking about the merchandising aspect of it and the marketing aspect of it.

Both of those franchise are in desperate need of a marker to be able to sell the product to put people in the stance.

I I agree with -- -- I I think it's a very unusual thing I I have never heard of a situation where.

-- -- player gets -- a choice but we're going to be traded to very -- about it but I think I think the -- I think the end Broncos are being very fair about it.

They're they're saying to Tim tee -- look we're basically thanking you for what you did last year you let us to the plan she did all this stuff.

And it prompted table let's say it's a bit of a tough -- Leno the -- the jets very much want him but.

I I think that's the place is at the jaguars it's his hometown.

He is a hero there he loves Florida he has talked about wanting to go to Florida so I you know I think at the end of the day he would pick.

Jacksonville but in in this business now nothing's gonna surprise me.

Chairman to yield would make -- -- I mean he is he's controversy really here in New York he isn't loved.

In Florida and many parts of the country.

Is this tell me -- impact.

On football.

When I made -- credible and what Jerry you basically you've mentioned it just a little while ago you talked about.

It's more than just football.

Tim Tivo has brought the ancillary fan to football if you thought you might like football now you watch it because of Tim Tivo the audience that he's created.

Is phenomenal and it's the way he did it is that come back that he's been able to make.

The late game comebacks that's captured everybody's fantasy he's the guy that nobody thought could make it and all of a sudden not only does he make it.

But he makes it in such a dramatic fashion and for that reason it's a lot of fun to watch him.

But for any longevity he's gonna have to be a better pastor of the football right gonna have to have a better pay -- percentage if he wants to continue this phenomenon.

If he can get up to 60%.

I don't care wary goes he's gonna be a star and I and the reason I like Jacksonville as opposed to New York.

Is Mark Sanchez just signed a brand new forty million dollar contract.

This is a business football's a business you don't commit that kinda money to somebody and say OK go compete for -- at best in New York.

He's got to be a novelty he's gonna be a part time player let me go some place else you got a chance.

A one of the bring up kind of the flip side of this and obviously -- would be better than anybody to weigh in on this nobody knows more about -- -- but also.

An exit from Bob you you could talk to two from a business perspective and that's if you -- the teams right.

If you're the jets and you're looking at this is just as you're gonna bring intensity but essentially be a specialist he's not gonna be an every down player.

But if you're the judge course he will be.

So you get the positives along with the negatives so -- almost more exposed in some ways if he goes to Jacksonville course his upside.

Is much greater but it did the Jack if you're the jaguars.

You're taking a chance here with the guy to be an every down quarterback.

Well you've taken a chance but you're gonna fill your stadium -- it or not that's -- did they -- actually -- they have hearts at the top of the state to make overseas because they can't sell out.

They would immediately sell a lot more tickets he Gloria he's on -- -- up there you know as a quarterback long term I took a toll privilege of he can get up to 60%.

That would be incredible you know it's basically in the forties now and that's the problem with him.

As a quarterback but as of a phenomenon as a cult he would be beloved in Jacksonville I think he would get the starting job.

And I think it would be an incredible story.

I'd I'd be surprised if he doesn't choose Jacksonville because that really does present the best opportunity and he printing pursue -- change he wants to be -- quarterback non not exactly be betting on himself would need judge -- Jackson he's basically say hey I can do this that's exactly right at least -- put in his court just like to Denver Broncos have said where would you like to -- I think from my perspective do I wanna go to New York could be a part time player or what want to go to Jack's ability it's not a guarantee because they drifted -- -- -- year ago.

Now Michael largely Malarkey takes over as a new Coach so you have somebody with a fresh different you you have a chance to go compete for a job.

If you're good enough to be able to get your past percentage higher than the 47%.

Or so where it is into the mid fifties I think if you're even having more of an opportunity but I think from a marketing standpoint.

You can't find a bigger.

Draw in the Jacksonville area you probably -- gonna see the same kind of billboards.

That we saw around the country for Payton man and saying hey Tim come to Jacksonville hates him.

Come on home.

I -- did switch for just a second -- -- of both the view on this -- story.

I I'm just blown away by the story and amazed by it.

-- -- the irony here of course is a good Dell has been fighting for safety in the NFL and now we find out that there's a team out there this -- in the -- people.

What's your reaction to this.

I think is very strong messages unequivocal message from -- -- -- he's not going to stand for this anymore he's got a lot of players X player suing him.

Over concussions and their problems in life after football so -- very sensitive to this thing he wants to set the standard.

For the safety is much you can and -- it's a violent sport -- you can't make it completely safe.

But this really got him in a place where he is trying to really put an emphasis on it.

And he is annoyed too.

Help it to the point where he has suspended a Coach for the first time in NFL history and he is suspended him for an entire season it's it's a story.

And Joseph do you -- -- -- near the only player we have on the show tonight and you are no stranger to hard knocks obviously what's your reaction to this story.

I can't -- commissioner control this kind of violence.

What you you it is controlled violence -- you're right but I was you know I was about -- -- individual what I've played and in and assorted sick way.

If somebody placed a fairly high bounty on -- that means that you were important to the success of the football team.

And if they didn't place a bounty on -- that -- well you know we really don't care about him so it has -- way -- a backhanded compliment.

But that was different you have to understand -- the important thing is Roger has stress safety so strong.

Not only does he suspension on -- for year but Greg Williams in definitely.

And definitely that means that maybe he gets back to Coach may -- he does it.

I think that this is the kind of punishment that I expected it's a message that he wanted to send but.

What scares me is how are you going to legislate the contact and the filing contacts in this game out of sport.

Are you gonna are you -- now turn it -- to flag football I think that's the league's biggest question and problem right now.

How do we try and control a sport that is violent.

By its nature and yet draws the people -- because of the hard hitting.

And ample of course the other aspect of a lot of the hard hitting.

How do we control where is enough.

Where is not enough you know what are the safety factors.

I look at it this way when I signed my contract to go play professional football I understood that there were risks involved in my game just like a police officer just like a fireman.

There are risks would you take on that profession.

I have concussion problems I have posting questions syndrome I have a terrible time -- times with my memory I know it's a result of the game might play.

I wouldn't change it.

Because that's part of what happens in the game when you go head -- head and you get hit as many times as we do probably something's gonna happen.

And it's it's unfortunate that we see some of the guy suffer the way they have.

But it's a contact sport it's a filing -- that's the nature of it.

Now how do you legislative that's going to be the biggest question.
