-- now on US foreign policy and Syria Iran and it is -- -- joining us former United States ambassador to the United Nations march news contributor John Bolton.

Also with us tonight former CIA operative once -- -- -- -- tracking unit.

Michael shorter end doctor Wally Ferris Fox News Middle Eastern affairs analysts also often we'll -- -- revolution struggle for freedom in the Middle East.

Always let me Begin with you this is this is quite a spectacle in fact.

The president and the prime minister of Israel shoulder to shoulder talking about.

Displaying at least convincingly I think to many.

That the the alliance is solid in the same time Republicans calling for our authorization.

For war.

What do you make -- and is this country on the right path.

Well basically the administration that's what I would Begin its training in the equation as if there's a camp -- -- war and there's a camp the console -- with peace -- diplomacy.

Well these are -- Either by -- -- campaign or by diplomacy and everything in between.

The Iranian regime has a strategy of developing the nuclear capacity of developing the missiles of penetrating.

As many countries in the region the question in Washington what is it that we have to do.

To basically counter the strategist not just to make a choice between war and peace it's what what can the president expect to the American public.

As the American strategy to stop Iran on all of these levels.

And -- -- or is there he is very straightforward path here that leads bolster resolution.

And containment of Moran's nuclear ambitions.

No we're going to war against Iran -- we saw President Obama going -- -- for a -- before a packed on Sunday.

Yeah idea that the American president has any vote in this is it is a nonsense.

Not yet -- Netanyahu can taken 300 million Americans the war whenever he wants to and the Republican Party will support it.

It's it's an incredible situation when the world's greatest power is at the back -- -- of -- sand pit at the eastern end of the Mediterranean.

Strong words -- investor your your response.

Well -- that the fact is over three American administrations Clinton bush and now Obama.

That we have failed utterly to stop the obvious effort by the regime in Tehran to get nuclear weapons and right now we're just at the end of this long sad saga.

Diplomacy has failed sanctions -- failed -- they're gonna continue to fail.

And they most likely outcome now is that Iran get nuclear weapons the only thing at this very very late date.

That's gonna stop that potentially is the preemptive use of military force I think it's very clear.

President Obama has no intention.

Using military force that -- us -- I designers.

Up the business every time I hear anyone including you investor.

I remind you respect my -- Talking about military force this becomes a word that is strapped.

Amorphous.

The fact is what do you mean do you mean.

Sending in a invading force do you mean striking.

With that tactical one nuclear weapons do you mean -- What -- -- -- -- how would be applied and what would be the sacrifice and the costs.

-- -- -- -- Well military force no need for nuclear weapons here what we need to do is break Iran's control over the nuclear fuel cycle at certain key points that can be done.

With precision air strikes.

Look it's a very unattractive option but the other option is not the world as it as it is today where Iran does not have nuclear weapons that is not the option that world is disappearing.

The other option is Iran with nuclear weapons are there risks involved.

Absolutely the biggest risk frankly if Israel attacks Iran's nuclear weapons program is that -- -- Five million but we're not just confidence Wally -- Michael shore -- let me ask each area and you're investor what is this confidence come for -- About the ability of this country so strike quote unquote surgically.

All -- we have been engaged in -- war in Iraq in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Further.

For the longest period of time of conflict on our country's history.

After -- the the Iraqi war.

AG -- where are we here Wally first you.

Well one of the strategic mistakes that -- done as an ambassador was mentioning over the past three administration has -- to rely on one component.

Meaning we bring down Saddam Hussein and with the next day Iraq's gonna be Sweden.

It doesn't work like that same goes for Afghanistan in -- and I -- Roast of of policies number one.

You put a lot of sanctions on the Iranian regime it's been done you -- out of a higher number two which has not been explored at all.

-- partnership with the Iran in opposition.

Missy Ryan regime in reacting to those -- policies does something aggressive in the region -- have that it is -- To go ahead and do a strike on an Iranian regime that -- -- up.

-- relationship without opposition because the opposition itself.

You know certainly is not measurable at this point.

Nor have we've been in any substantive.

A partnership with them -- represented is even of that opposition.

Are -- short opposition.

-- -- I I I think we've proven beyond a doubt that the American military cannot win a war.

Not because it's not competent.

And not because the American people haven't paid for a war winning military.

But because leaders in both parties have forgotten that it base war is about killing and -- enemy gives up.

We've also prove beyond definite beyond doubt that air power wins nothing over the long term or really over the short term.

And the third thing when you're calling for military action in Iran.

You're calling for two wars because -- audience cannot hurt the United States militarily they're a third rate tin pot country in terms of a conventional military.

But they have an extraordinary capacity to wage war inside the United States.

Thanks to our immigration and border and national security policies so and ambassador Bolton calls for war he's calling for two wars.

He's calling for a war in Iraq and he's calling for a war by the Iraq means against us in the United States ambassador Bolton -- -- the last word here.

Well you know the -- and terrorist activities it inside the united states -- -- -- the Obama administration indicted a key Revolutionary Guards officials for trying to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador.

On the streets of Washington.

And anything you don't like about Iran today gets infinitely worse once they get nuclear weapons we know where they're key facilities are at least we hope we know where the main ones are.

They can be destroyed and and I strongly feel that if the Obama administration doesn't act which it will not.

We either see Iran with nuclear weapons or we're gonna see what Israel does.

Right ambassador thank you very much -- thank you very much Michael ware appreciate.
