We're here with Charlie densities -- president of Nike brand Nike unveiling their new -- for the Olympics and only for the olympians but also for consumers be hitting retail just in time.
As Olympic theme song begins to play this summer Charlie thanks for joining us on Fox Business now.
You've got this -- flight -- technology here is just issue that's actually gonna make you run faster.
This is the issue it's that represents our newest innovation which -- call flight -- and so one piece up vs zero waste upper closed loop.
And it's one of the latest most comfortable -- we've ever invented in and introduce or very sad about.
Any talk about how light it is is.

Yeah I think well I think you're gonna find this to be very comfortable you may prefer more the comfort in the lightweight.
From a performance standpoint it's the light issue we've ever put out as both the training and a -- you all of marathon racers that we work with.

Light certainly seems to be you know the the theme I'm seeing -- is light -- issues.
How much does that improve performance only for the olympians which we hope the Americans well we'll do well but also for -- -- the the casual yet we can warriors or.
Sure it it is about light -- it's always about making it lighter it's also about high performance and I think one of the things that we've really worked hard on.
Is not only making the best lightweight product but the highest performing product as well.
And when you talk about the Weekend Warriors vs the highest.
Athletes in the land so to speak I think everybody is always looking for a little bit of an edge.
What is important to them will also be important to you and that's high performance comfort and -- ability.
Now flying yet and literal on these new technologies is that what the next generation.
Of product is going to be based on 490.
Yes I think for this Summer Olympics which represents a great opportunity for us to introduce new innovations.
You mentioned the hyper -- basketball it's part of our -- -- package that we're introducing for.
The Olympics which is.
Represents our best selling.
And newest version the -- -- execution and then it's the flight -- -- upper which we're very excited about being an -- running.
Now I know -- you were unveiling things like -- lunar.
The first generation and yes.
Well that's certainly what we're investing.
And I think when you think about Beijing and you.
You make a great reference -- some of the innovations that -- four years ago are now represented in over 60% of our footwear product line.
So today some of the new innovations that you're gonna see this summer London I think will be very very important to us over the next 45 years.
They sort of in the sweet spot right now for athletic shoes.
-- you know about a decade or so ago was all about the brown issue but since then we've seen -- she's really coming back do you think this new technology -- sort of extend that cycle.
I certainly do I think one of the things that we are most excited about with this particular product.
Is not only the comfort that it bears and the lightweight.
Performance and also the sustainability.
And that and the closed loop manufacturing process that we've developed and are introducing in this -- -- it's a great story for us and I think again as a great indicator of what our commitment is not only making high performance product for the -- for continuing to make a better world for -- -- that.
They talk about the sustainability anyway we're talk about recycled plastic bottles.
Are actually in this this new mile line is that's gonna become more more a part of the story going -- are we gonna go from 60% up to 100% -- date and when -- soon.
Well hopefully someday we won't have to -- -- bottles but until we do.
The idea that we can use recycled polyester as a performance fabric -- a lot of our high and performing products.
Especially in apparel is something we're committed to -- and are taking advantage of and we use more and more as we develop different products across the apparel product line.
You look at apparel and you look at the footwear.
Which category do you think it's gonna be the -- there.
Well I think Bernanke's always built on the -- platform that's where we started this were header heritage is based and it's certainly represents the biggest portion of our business today.
With that said we believe apparel may be our biggest growth opportunity when you think about the strength of the planned around the world.
And some of the innovation that we're starting to bring to that market and to the consumer.
Not only -- footwear and apparel we think apparel represents a great growth opportunity for the Nike brand worldwide.
And we've seen tremendous growth.
In China but not surprising or maybe surprising to some here in the US over the past year.
To expect this trajectories to continue and is error somewhere else that investors should be keeping and I -- as well for the growth.
Well I think you know our our performance in the North American market has been well documented and we're very very proud of it it's our biggest market as -- most penetrated market.
And it right now it's one of our fastest growing markets I think it speaks a lot.
To our connection with the consumer.
What we collar category offense and really align ourselves with the use of the difference words.
That being said when you look at the US market -- the level of penetration that we have in the US.
And the you think about what is coming and available to us in places like Western Europe China and even some of the emerging markets like Brazil and Russia we're very excited about future.
-- is using the Olympics to -- this brand new technology but they're also looking to keep athletes of all abilities happy.
And of course wearing the brand.
-- materials is really comfortable.
On the -- is -- just get better and better every year and via us in the Sam I'm not gonna suggestions -- man and then.
You know they come out some analysis is this even better more supportive for me not to a lot of -- lot of movement.
Tell pretty auto shoes and and me define issues here and -- out that is you know hold hold my feet in and then.
You know don't -- partisan is tremendous when you're kidding -- about she's making you run faster jump higher any truth to that with these new loans they make you feel like when you know there.
A pound lighter than than the rest in that it makes a difference.
