It's -- -- hot bit over three years later the private jet industry is still paying for CEOs flying in.
Hats in hand to Washington for -- and sales of corporate jets plummeted but the global economic crisis but is the ultimate symbol of -- poised for a rebound.
Private aviation analyst Brian Foley -- president of Brian -- associates is yes this is the year for private -- to come back.
Yeah well interestingly you have already come back a little bit you know the private jet industry is more than just the business -- to see if there.
Where -- seen recovery is places in FBOs -- with a guys that pump the gas that and -- companies which are the ones that fix it.
And even the big cabin jets the biggest goal streams in global expresses from a Marty a they even do -- -- -- 2010.
What we are waiting for watching for now is a small cabin business jet and the medium cab business jet who's just been pummeled the last.
Years would not -- -- go look at some fuel tanker supply companies remarks show but I was looking at -- and I was looking at Textron which -- -- Ever actually if you look at a long term chart didn't really have a huge pullback 2000 I was little -- Otherwise they actually did OK I was surprised to see that I would have been more -- -- that's.
Rate you know of their diversified down and Embraer there in the airline sector as well as the private checks -- -- sectors that helped to balance it out a little bit.
I'm assessed though which is a division of Textron they're they're pure business jet.
And they get really hit hard during this there.
Employment went down 50% -- backlog the number of business jets they had for sale in 2008 with sixteen billion.
Today it's one point nine billion.
-- -- -- that there's three years of pent up demand out there but -- the US demand -- -- -- international demand do you think is really going to be a story that's right you know traditionally North America has been the strongest market but because of the difficulties of the economy there's been really -- activity there.
Fortunately.
Business aviation is a worldwide commodity now and we've seen some nice help from the folks over -- -- the Middle East.
Eastern Europe Russia places like that so we're hoping that as those places settle down a little bit the US so start picking up to move that falling quite as a question.
Because you look at all these major corporations apple have got nearly a billion dollars that he cash a lot of American companies do you wonder if they're gonna use that capital.
It's actually reinvested by and other corporate -- maybe be a little work you know.
Quiet about at this time around at least.
But I'm curious if that's actually gonna help overall with the White House's imposition that they wanted -- end tax rates for corporate just you know go after the fat cats at you well.
-- what do you think that affect those.
This year and that's right for people to buy jets they obviously need the capital and and progress and the -- -- -- write an antibody that break has it has an effect.
I'm that the dollars are there to -- the business jets but not the confidence.
And now that the markets aren't whip sawing up and down the volatility is -- there we're back to where the market was four years ago there's hope that.
These folks will come out of that the woods and start buying again.
What do you think the trends going to be moving forward we think it's gonna be kind of the -- jets in -- warm confidence that met jets for instance you know that the share jet.
Platform is taken -- is going to be that giving companies are gonna actually go out by another seventh seventh.
We suspect -- to be ready to buy new again you know traditionally people who buy new aircraft come back again every five to seven years and buy new again but haven't lately I just helicopter.
OK I just look a lot I don't suggest yeah border raid on a helicopter to get about.
But but I but you make a good point though because today there's more than one way to be involved business aviation you don't get bought by a -- airplane you can do fractional -- -- -- falling president -- such as they -- for coming in a presence.
