While -- to follow the money you should trend alert for yet.

According to a Gallup poll Americans are more likely almost doubled more likely see themselves as conservative -- a liberal take a look.

40% of Americans say they're conservative 36 say there there is extra sensitive moderate but get this only 21.

Would characterize themselves as liberal joining me now is radio host John Phillips.

I'm Jon -- I'm sure the trend is changing it's always -- -- America's always been a center right.

Country right yet I think that right now we have going on his Barack Obama securing the country straight.

We've been having our our hand on the hot stove -- -- your right.

The heck yeah answer -- right at about you know even dense people can figure out a disaster when they see I mean people -- disaster.

They've moved back to.

Duke had a different direction.

And that's -- you have that's what that's what's going on right now President Obama where do you where the current other you know we we talk about the red states in the -- a flyover states are basically saying that the the coasts are are more liberal and in the red states in the middle.

Our -- -- is that the trend is that continuing or is it yeah what it's always been that's been a long process in political science they called critical realignment it started 64 were conservative Democrats started put their toe in the water voting Republican.

In eighty they solidified the presidential level.

In 1994 they solidified the congressional level.

And in 2010 with the Tea Party revolution as what you saw is conservatives are now with Republican Party up and down the ballot.

What -- -- what's what's stated Tea Party revolution.

Well the it it cause these voters he's conservative but what it did then where's it now where is it headed.

Well well I think it's headed the state and local level because you won't look at what's happened right now in cities and states -- Los Angeles is going bankrupt state California's gone bankrupt county Los Angeles is going bankrupt.

And people are looking at this and they're applying these Tea Party principles they applied to congress in 2000 intend to state and local governments where it's really screwed up.

And that's important.

Because it does go state local level.

Then when you when you get turn over in legislatures than you can redistrict and you can kind of map out the way.

The waking congress looks like right absolutely and you're seeing right now in California Republicans are probably gonna lose six -- because of redistricting is very very very important.

Who draws those -- determined.

-- who's in time hanging -- bring up the penalty as we have one of those Liberal Democrats on in the state of California dark element.

40% say they're conservative 21%.

Say the liberal -- us sit somewhere in the middle.

It looks at the trend is is going is is leaning right.

Well it's not a trend -- it's been that way for two decades and I hate to burst your bubble but it doesn't determine elections.

And your your panelist is right that that there is.

Certainly a polarization in recent years but we're talking about a 3% shift on either side -- have a three per cent.

When -- blood stock is does not when things went California the whole -- I -- alarmingly California loses six seats in Texas picks up two or three whatever term it is.

That it read it -- that -- re yes you can redistricting you can -- district into congressional.

Tendency in which means it matters on the state and local level.

I'm send these numbers that haven't really shifted do not determine the the -- -- numbers they simply do not we haven't seen and we we elected.

Bill Clinton we elected president -- I'm noticing -- -- give -- the full screen with the least conservative be -- -- most liberal states the five.

Most -- states in America according to a Gallup -- and and in people describing themselves DC no surprise Massachusetts very liberal argun Washington.

And New York okay so.

These are states that are losing congressional seats and why are they losing it -- -- bring out to you guys didn't Jason why why are the most liberal states losing congressional.

Liberalism when I look at this polling data shall liberalism is a dirty word for most Americans that's why you're here Barack Obama heed the call himself a proud liberal Bill Clinton would mention.

He never called himself for proud liberal -- -- there's a disconnect between liberalism.

And Democrats in fact Gallup showed that in Vermont and Rhode Island the number -- self identified liberals has that have actually decreased.

This is not a gold good omen for for the Democrat party because.

After just three years of Barack Obama more people -- identifying as conservative.

Not last -- so it's it shows that they don't want to ally themselves what he's trying to -- upon American guys.

What the most conservative.

Per Gallup again these are self described conservatives the states -- the most conservative response take a look there.

Mississippi Utah Wyoming Alabama and Louisiana Brian.

Always spend read but getting -- yeah they -- and what issues are motivating people right now I think they're fearful of this administration on the Second Amendment.

This Obama administration is appointed two Supreme Court justices Sotomayor and Kagan at hate the Second Amendment.

Would love to have -- restricted and taken away and gay marriage even Californians don't like gay marriage.

And and and the American people don't supported -- issues like that and issues like this forcing.

Religious institutions to fund sterilization -- board of patients.

And contraception that's when Americans push back -- May -- the class warfare works a little bit and social issues we live in a fundamentally conservative country.

I think it's beyond that -- you look at what's going on in the city's if you look at the power the public employee unions have and you look at the financial state.

Where you have major cities that could very well go bankrupt we had some cities in California the did go bankrupt northern California.

And people look at that they say these public employee unions cannot have a strangle hold on government and how the stated the city survive insisted it's gonna -- You know I'm at a stock here is are we had represented Jo Walsh from Illinois here last night now sedate congress what's going out with here.

With your reelection so what we lost congressional seen as you know Illinois a very very Blue States very liberal state and submit their redistricting me out.

And a lot of us out so.

When you do -- that's one state local politics really matter we concentrate on presidential politics and congressional politics but state.

-- -- -- Well let's properly diagnosed the problem the -- -- of Wall Street causing economic downturn which tanked revenues because of unemployment and lower aggregate demand from consumers.

And that's why state and local governments are heard -- -- not because of unions.

Yes yes yes yes yes that's how we'll have a quality -- finish that thought duck.

That's that is my thought that your -- diagnosing the problem that it's an issue with revenue that comes actually from what Wall Street did it's not coming from this huge surge in unions and magically in the next three years it's caused this we simply haven't seen that she.

It's not a Wall Street in the bill in the fact the matter is the unions have been.

State local governments the pension fund calpers celts or she may not -- -- admit -- but it's true or bankrupt in the state of California.
