Joining us now for more on the unemployment rate that 2012 Republican race and Jesus Obama and taxes former Arkansas governor 2008 Republican presidential candidate and ordain minister.

Mike Huckabee also author of the New York Times best seller are simple government.

-- Fox News Channel Huckabee show great to have you with us governor boy what an intro you said.

You know Obama taxes Jesus all of the same senate's well actually I think I'm a dead -- in its interest -- where you might as well start there.

And that is the president at a prayer breakfasts deciding that Jesus would have brought.

Embraced and they've been in very enthusiastic about his higher taxes proposal you know -- I'm -- hasn't exactly set records for church attendance over the past three years since he's been president and it shows from this speech.

They're two things Jesus said about taxes one render under Caesar.

That which is caesar's but been rendered on the gods that which is God's if you don't do one it's hard to just about why you're not doing the other.

In his case he gave 1% to charity.

You know for -- probably be tell us what Jesus wants Jesus kind of ball we ought to give a dime out of a dollar not a penny out of a dollar.

So when he starts at least coming through with his -- Then he can lecture me on what Jesus thinks about.

Axes.

And and I have to tell it's been very educational this week because there's been so much reference to Jesus and religion.

I'd I think a lot of people sitting at the White House.

Who have basically declared war on the Catholic Church.

Over the past couple weeks -- I think they're really embracing religion suddenly I -- there's a relationship between the them back the back slash -- there and their new interest in ensuring wanna godly man the president -- Well I would say this in other news that's way I'm not I'm not being cynical but let me be very serious for a moment here is the most pro abortion president in American history.

And the one thing Jesus -- unmistakably and it wasn't about tax policy it was.

Let the little children come on to me.

There were there was a special love in his heart for the innocent -- for those who had no other voice.

And unborn children are about the most innocent and the unprotected.

And yet the policies of this government have been anything but kind so I think I'd be very careful cover the president invoking.

Jesus into this about a way when Jesus paid his taxes you know.

It take a lot of fishing.

With a lot of coins in the mouth of the fish to pay the kind of taxes he wants us to pay their I looked -- EPA would never allow that many fish to be taken out of the waters.

Well and and they would certainly be at least finally write about some played -- and we don't have enough -- obviously since really have these fifty.

Trillion dollar debts.

Orrin hatch responding since we're on the subject I want to move launcher and two other issues as well but.

Orrin -- had a great line concerning -- the president's.

Comments about well Jesus and taxes Syria's.

Someone needs to remind the president that there was only one person who walked on water.

And he did not occupy the Oval Office.

Well -- occupying available for the oval office of course is what this is all about we're gonna give our national last word on that.

On that this year and in turn -- you offers some some sense of direction here.

This is is -- me is he still -- Won't be it is Romney beatable -- in the primary of course he only has 87 delegates it takes 11140 -- when he's gonna have a good February.

But he'll pick up a few but not enough delegates to claim the prize and -- Super Tuesday comes.

And that could be a very very good day for either Newt Gingrich.

Yeah I I talked through Foster -- -- -- big financial backer last night here.

And he said he's in all the way down when a man of his resources.

-- It says -- in.

Mr.

Santorum senator Santorum has.

-- some staying power.

I've is Santorum is also leading in Missouri and in Ohio which I think a lot of people amount -- taking note of but I also was.

I was struck by their way re Republicans that they were reacting to these improved unemployment numbers.

These this improving economy.

They were little doubt hours they expressed joy -- -- Well it it was hard to -- detect an extraordinary level of sincerity when they say this is sure good news.

But it is good news for the people who got a job and I think we've got to be very careful.

That we never look at the election as being more important -- the lives of the Americans who were supposed to be serving.

Celebrate those folks who got jobs celebrate the recovery but the little -- be realistic it doesn't mean that there.

Is reason to dance in the streets because gasoline is more expensive that it was in should be foods more expensive than it was in should be.

A lot of the jobs people -- temporary and they're underpaid from what they would have been paid even 456 years ago.

So I think there's plenty of message room for the Republicans they don't need to go around and concede anything to Obama but at the same time.

Let's be honest and say congratulations on by they're moving in the right direction yeah.

And I do think that your exactly right there to say it is it's it's something to celebrate and -- idea that Republicans would.

Distancing themselves and shrink from success here is peculiar to me because that's what they're trying to do.

Is to get this thing moving and by the way I don't care which Republican.

Wins -- nomination.

Or perhaps even enters the Oval Office.

It isn't going to be an easy path for him either.

-- and I think sometimes we overestimate the power of one person is a president with the one thing that a president can do is set a mood.

The reason that the economy's been so slow to recover under Obama is because of the uncertainty.

Of what the tax rates and regulatory atmosphere is going to be.

Business owners who have had cash.

Who could have been hiring.

Could've been putting it back into the marketplace have been fearful because of this comment that we heard earlier that Jesus wants us to raise taxes what you tell the business community.

That they're gonna be paying more to do business.

That means they're not gonna hire somebody because they have a choice they can either pay the taxes are they can pay and employ.

They have to pay the taxes they might not have to hire the employees.

In terms of the money raising the fund -- is pretty clear while business and Wall Street are voting right now.

Governor Mike Huckabee is always good to have you --
