Shop -- big win in Florida Mitt Romney headed out to Minnesota today stirring up support support for the big primary hit there on Tuesday.
Forty delegates up for grabs for a closer look at Romney's chances in the north stars.
-- joined by Paul Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty national co chair of Romney for president.
Governor thanks for helping us that's -- we really appreciate it.
And -- before we get started I wanna show us some of the feel out there on the campaign today was pretty excited heavy stuff listen to this.
I'm convinced that if we have a leader and leaders.
Who will tell the truth.
And live -- integrity.
And you know how to lead.
If they will draw on the patriotism of the American people we will rise to the occasion and do everything necessary to keep America as it's always been the shining city.
On the hill and the -- but they -- Thank you some -- thank you have.
So governor that the Mitt Romney got glitter bombed today you helped him out as he was.
As speaking to the crowd what is the feeling out there today it seems like boy it's it's really lifted up the few notches.
Well I think -- a good way to put it that momentum is a great thing to have when your candidate he's got momentum that victory in Florida was huge.
You -- look at the demographic groups in Florida he over performed in almost every I think every category.
And his message is now really resonating and you see he's more comfortable he's.
Confident and strong in his message in the way that he's delivering -- so it really looks like this is breaking Mitt Romney's way.
Romney's ads in his talk about Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and Newt Gingrich criticized by some in the media.
But boy that housing issues really seemed to resonate with Floridians what are the big economic issues in Minnesota.
Well Minnesota's economy does a little better than the nation as a whole are unemployment rate is now below 6% so it's still we have a long ways to go but it's -- When into the recession a little earlier is coming not of the recession earlier doesn't have quite the -- announced.
Housing problems -- say -- Nevada -- Florida but we have our share in so many of the same themes.
Are in Minnesota and one of things I've tried to emphasize is -- what we've tried the Washington DC politicians.
It's not working.
So the only there's only one candidate in this race is not spent -- -- here.
What adult life for most of it in Washington DC and that's Mitt Romney's been an entrepreneur or a business leader a successful governor.
Turn around the Olympics and he's everything he's done he succeeded we gave Barack Obama a chance it didn't work it's time to give Mitt Romney in the White House in my view.
Well is there are a lot of conversation about whether Michelle Bachmann would endorse Romney today she denied it -- that Michelle Bachmann.
-- a full screen let me be absolutely clear she said they're absolutely no negotiations between me in the Romney campaign regarding any pending endorsement of governor Romney.
I continued to speak with all the candidates and plan on uniting behind the presumptive nominee.
Still governor -- be a bad thing if one -- that some of these candidates who are close to backing out her backing out.
Turn their support over to Romney are you guys seeking that kind of endorsement at this point.
-- certainly would be wonderful -- thought congresswoman Bachmann would support governor Romney I think you would be and an honor for him to his campaign to get that endorsement obviously she's not there yet based on the statement you just read but it would be my hope and I know.
The campaign's hope that they could get -- endorsement at some point.
But -- people don't ultimately decide just on endorsements those are nice to have they decide ultimately on the candidate and it's just not even a close call -- -- form for mice perspective Mitt Romney is the most knowledgeable most capable and importantly Jerry electable.
Candidate in this field let's not forget who does the best in polling in his most likely to defeat Barack Obama and it's not the other candidates it's Mitt Romney.
Still one big problem looms and that's Obama care and Romney care something that you called Obama -- care.
And dad Rick Santorum really hitting the Canada hard on this very issue here's Rick Santorum.
-- here is Obama can.
-- Some respects is worse than Obama.
We don't we don't we will lose that issue it'll be an -- against us.
It is the best.
Clearer contrast an issue and vision for our country.
What do you make of that it will this be a big issue and it seems like it dogs and every -- goes.
Is so mommy is is Romney care obamacare.
You almost looked at I know I know it's easy to them together for the -- up.
Well couple of things will -- mid has said there are substantial differences including that he didn't raise taxes as part of their.
Health care in Massachusetts.
They didn't cut Medicare like President Obama did in some other things that's number one are some differences as he presented them number two and importantly he said he doesn't want to do.
-- the Massachusetts plan or the Obama plan for the whole nation he thought it was good for Massachusetts they chose at a state level but he's a 100%.
Committed.
To repealing obamacare and he's made that clear over and over again and one last thing.
None of these candidates of course perfect Mitt Romney I think it's got the best record of -- mall is actually done it as opposed to just giving speeches but all the rest of these candidates have -- -- significant issues in there.
A backgrounds -- records as well so I think clearly Mitt Romney is competitive there repealing obamacare he said -- he's promised that it's good enough for me.
Well it's a long way to go on this campaign trail -- congratulations on your big win last night governor thanks for coming on the show I hope -- come back.
Well I'd be delighted.
