About things are looking up for Mitt Romney on the day of the GOP Florida primary most polls show Romney with a comfortable laid.
Over Newt Gingrich with more.
-- -- this air former deputy chief of staff for president George W.
Bush also a Fox News contributor.
Carl always terrific to see you.
Mitt Romney may if you look at spending in that state what I saw your white board on Fox News short while ago has spent.
There -- -- five to one.
Overt Newt Gingrich.
Eleven billion dollars and why you didn't expand our money he had it.
Yeah I don't know because you date they got a five million dollar cash injection -- -- -- super pac.
From Sheldon -- stood before the South Carolina primary.
And had at least a million and a half of that tunnel left over.
And then Miriam Adelson children's -- gave Mary gave another five -- and so they had six and a half for seven million dollars.
That they could -- deployed in Florida and did not and I am mystified why they did not because.
This is a big inflection point and once it happens.
This is gonna set the tone for the next two or three weeks where there are few contests.
And the few contests that are debtors there.
Will not work to the advantage of Gingrich they may not work to the advantage -- Romney -- may work to the advantage of Ron Paul -- well organized and caucus states.
But but you know by the end a month where in Michigan and Arizona which are likely to go to.
To Romney and Gingrich is got to wait until the third until the first Tuesday in March the sixth of march.
Before it starts getting opportunities to -- -- and -- in states like Georgia and Oklahoma can they take it all the way to the convention as the campaign is -- I'm talking about well -- I you know I -- my sense is that doesn't happen you know he'd be it did what happens at some point is somebody begins to persistently win.
And when that happens then in essence the bottom falls you can't put you can -- a go to the convention.
But you -- over the convention with a you know with few victories particularly in the last stretch of the campaign.
And even fewer delegates because we start quickly at the end of march getting -- states like.
Pennsylvania California and other -- going to be winner take call leader at a state level or congressional -- -- what.
There's so much -- us with these.
-- campaigning in the state has gotten really ugly you know in the last few days Carl.
And there's so much focus on these two candidates so little attention being paid by the GO paid.
To Barack Obama how much of a lift does that give him in the coming weeks.
It doesn't give -- much of a lift.
And look I do think the point they that you make is a good one -- they focused a lot on each other my hope is that they Begin to focus more on.
Obama in because each one -- -- problem can be solved.
Less by attack in the other guy and more by either going after -- -- -- share on their own vision look.
You know Mitt Romney has now like arsenal of television ads -- the in his campaign -- in the campaign -- in the arsenal of the storehouse of the super -- They can they can do that they do damage due to Newt Gingrich so Romney ought to take his time and energy and effort.
And focus on explain what he would do and taking on Obama similarly look -- does not do himself good.
By calling Romney as he did yesterday a pro abortion liberal nobody thinks that's true in -- less sure RD I'm a member of -- in -- family.
Newt Gingrich did well in the debates when he provided the big vision.
You know not by -- moon colony but by talking about tax reform and -- -- reform and other essential reforms.
And he he ought to -- in my opinion return to that and put the emphasis on that.
In order to get -- -- expect otherwise she's gonna find himself after march 6 in very bad place or eleven primaries that day.
And by my count two of them Georgia and Oklahoma.
Probably lead to Gingrich three of them including Tennessee are up for grabs.
Tennessee though he doesn't have a full slate of delegates and the other contests are all -- in states like you know Vermont and Ohio and Massachusetts.
And even Virginia which there's not going to be a single delegate for Gingrich.
49 delegates second largest group the -- a -- day.
Or third largest and he's not gonna get a single because he's not even on the ballot they're so.
I get -- sea legs back -- -- back to what got him.
