Big problem in the United States immigrants come into the country they started new business and then.

Because a tough immigration laws and -- cases they end up moving back overseas and take their successful job creating knock opportunities along with them so.

Our next guest says there are ways to keep these entrepreneurs here.

-- to boost the economy in the process Randy Johnson senior VP of labor immigration and employee benefits at the US chamber of commerce a very long title but we thought it necessary.

To put it out and say that he's not a six the tenets left at a picture so thank you mr.

Johnson for coming on with us we appreciate it very much.

Thanks colony is -- I'm gonna give a speech in Arizona yes -- often do you get stuff references to do it yourself but -- clarifies that's right read pointed out right off the tide is so this is it is an interest in story.

And we did talk about -- a decent amount and tell us what you guys found specifically.

How can we help the economy is thirty easy fix here says alright.

As we know a lot of these companies Google in so -- -- started by immigrants how do we fix what is a problem in the United States.

-- -- -- -- -- -- In this as an area where people know about -- the -- high tech companies were founded by immigrants and Intel's another great example but.

-- if we all know sort of about small business and sort of -- but when we looked at this area we didn't find that there was really any study done on.

What scored on an immigrant entrepreneurial area once you get beyond the big companies and so we commission this reported the chamber.

And we really went through a lot of communities in the United States we went through some other studies such as the Small Business Administration.

And confirmed I think what everyone already knows which is a lot -- immigrants come here.

Legal way and they -- -- in the start new businesses.

And we thought this report kind of brings all those stories together and we did that because we had to lay the ground work for the kind of legislation which are -- to.

Because many people when they come -- they may wanna start -- small business.

But there's no real simple way to do that our our immigration laws are -- mess.

And the hill recently has started looking at things called entrepreneurial pieces which allows some of these people to come -- United States start businesses and stay if they -- in -- successful so this report was.

Was was an effort to the back up that kind of legislation -- solutions sure.

Is to know what kind of support that has.

On Capitol Hill and the reason I don't really know it is because I pay attention immigration issues like everybody else -- -- -- -- -- Republican debates but it's usually have it in all honesty it's just a race to say all I can build a higher fence and you -- and and it degenerates -- you never hear this discussion that we're having or at least I haven't and they've been.

112 debates and there's another one tonight it never they never talk about this.

There was talking about -- do you know the the hot button issues that gets everybody fired up about how you can keep people out but what about keeping the people in that we need here.

Is there quick fix legislatively.

Well it's not a quick fix -- -- Into an immigration for almost fifteen years now -- -- right it's a very controversial area and any thing called immigration seems to I'd get get hung up in and sometimes a lot of misconceptions.

But because those -- debates.

-- are so polarized in the big pieces of legislation are moving in aware.

We thought we -- off this one small area -- start educating policy makers on the Don the argument that there is one simple fix here we can do it.

So -- Senator Kerry is senator Lugar and introduced a bipartisan bill -- the start of these act.

Which would allow immigrants to get a conditional -- Which would hinge on certain -- trading criteria.

Monetary measurements.

And then of those are -- they did eventually -- the Green card.

So I you don't hear about it now my gut because on the other hand -- beginnings gonna get down in the senate below the radar screen but this is something and this country can do is relatively simple we -- -- -- OK we'll keep following it then in that case and thank you very much for coming on I'm ready Johnson the chamber of commerce -- should.
