And by rights previously was chairman of the Republican National Committee -- good to see you thanks for coming it.
Do you see doing well I don't know what well I don't know what would that you mean by the establishment candidates certainly.
We we've gotten a horse in the race and we just want to make sure that we can defeat Barack Obama and save America when -- this is over well.
-- -- for a frankly a lot of people do see Newt Gingrich is somebody who.
Party got together to get rid of when he was speaker because they didn't like some of things -- -- ironically part of that was because -- -- is too liberal and and they think they're -- surprise -- that that about his talk that he was.
About Bain Capital that may be sounded like he was being anti capitalists and everything and and that that Mitt Romney was was more -- -- thing in that Newt Gingrich.
We're not exactly sure how we'll go off the reservation.
Well hi Amanda from our standpoint is you know I think this is up to the voters I think what you what you do see is though -- which I will agree with is that the last thing our base -- -- people in Washington.
And certainly not party chairman telling them what to think I think it and that's what you're seeing.
I think across America which is that the base and that the Republicans and and and independents that are voting in our primary is they want to make -- decision for themselves so.
We're gonna respect whatever decision that that they Macon and hopefully make sure that we bring around the nominee.
And RNC that is fully funded and prepared for battle to make sure that.
We make Barack Obama one term president and I think you know.
If we can hold Barack Obama.
To the standards in the promises that he set forward for himself.
We're going to be quite successful because he can meet those standards what do you think does a better job of that Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich.
Well I mean I don't really I'm not gonna handicap -- Korea.
As far as who does a better job over get to other candidates that are running as well and Rick Santorum and and Ron Paul and I think it's at this point it's anyone's race to win.
And we'll see what happens but in the end this is going to be about Barack Obama and I think that's what you're gonna see it's going to be a referendum.
On the direction of this country.
Do you think that -- -- Gingrich -- -- I what I saw when I was look at what Newt Gingrich is doing with Bain Capital was our that was a disaster frankly because a lot of the information.
Was wrong -- it was proven wrong of people that were in that film.
That was in the pack.
You know said that they they were quoted out of context etc.
Once -- cut off of that and got back on his message of differentiating.
His view of America and president Obama's that's when the poll numbers Begin to spike for him that's how I saw the value sought as well.
Well I mean I I do think that people across America.
Want to put.
The direction that Barack Obama has brought America on trial they wanna have a trial -- Whether or not division in the America that Barack Obama has cooked up for us is the vision.
And is the America.
That we all expected him to deliver when he ran for office three or four years ago so I think is a much is of that.
That we can talk about I think that's -- our base wants to have the discussion and so.
You know -- all of these issues whether B.
Bain Capital -- -- year old marriages or whatever the case may be.
That's not really what are -- interest in talking about their interest in talking about how to get America working again how to put our country back on track.
And how to make sure that we're not gonna become another member of the European Union -- Most of the issues that we care about.
Well they're not they're not just again -- the I don't wanna speak for everybody because it's a big audience but it seems that what.
What got the most traction in south -- -- was saying we need more than just tweaking around the -- we really need fundamental reform we have to blow up.
An attempt to do all those things that you -- particularly turn America into into another part of the European Union well which is collapsing right now.
Well it's the most predictable economic collapse that we could ever.
Imagine and -- we need to do is roll up our sleeves and do something about it but you think all four of our candidates are talking about that fundamental question I think if you go to these debates.
And actually watch a debate for two hours you'll see that 90% of it.
Is exactly that topic and so I think it's been good for our party and I think of this.
I think -- horse race is good I think a little bit of dramas good they look for years ago we put people the sleep.
We had a nominee in mid February and on was talking about us and all the action was with Hillary Clinton.
And Barack Obama -- it took us to the cleaners.
Right well people are talking about it now there's no question about I I think you're right I think that.
With a more becomes a drama the better but again people I think can get sidetracked on issues that get the no mileage like Bain Capital.
I -- it it appears now by the way that -- says he's satisfied with the tax issue.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Well the nice thing about these primaries though David is that.
We'll tell candidates very clearly whether a particular issue or angle is working and so.
You know all with all campaigns and all these issues with him last militant when I think about this angle -- this issue is this fair is this nice.
And the reality is every campaign has to make a decision for themselves but also with those decisions.
Come consequences sometimes they work and sometimes they backfire.
And the electorate will make that very clear of these campaigns and so it's up to them but.
-- -- with every action comes potentially an equal reaction the opposite direction.
Rise is good to see it come back and see -- against C -- -- thank you very much more to a rise bravest.
