There are other people in this race and as a speaker pointed out.
One of them is Rick Santorum the guy who officially was certified as the winner.
Of Iowa are key backer of his joins -- right now -- -- about the billionaire Foster -- Foster good to have you.
Your -- -- -- you know he.
Is he added -- should he be where it.
I don't think at all he should be very excited you look at when people got to see him through Iowa when he went -- -- personal of people -- He he just half sleep clobbered that -- -- so.
It's a situation where we're bring someone from obscurity.
If you look at the Democrats in the past are pretty sadly we have a Tennessee Republican Party to run these old war horses we had dole and -- McCain and now we got.
Newton now -- real war horses are there the veterans.
And I think the Democrats have picked Carter came from nowhere Clinton came from nowhere outside the country involved or not it is Rick Santorum camp -- -- and easily.
Didn't former senator war -- -- his -- Right but -- on November on that December 15 he was dollars 5% -- -- -- and so what -- so so once person once people got to know me at least a 53 year old guy does 50 pushups every morning.
His grandson of coal miner stepped his life while working out of VA hospital with his mom and dad.
And he's probably the first time the Republicans -- ever entered into the fray a blue collar Republican.
I'm.
There is always this pressure and momentum in -- -- over the last time that everything's about momentum as -- momentum really matters this early stage one.
You need 11100 points or delegates and best scenario today may be Newt Gingrich.
You know picks up fifteen or sixteen of the State's 25 delegates so it's I don't close to three way tie and delegates among among the three but.
Do you think there's something there that that that dad it's all that's ahead of senior because we know what happens to -- ST but what's your sense.
While you you look at the nice thing about -- Santorum wins Iowa.
Then we have -- -- when in New Hampshire and now we have new lending South Carolina.
This is going to be a wonderful thing for you guys in the media gonna -- a lot of boxes and sends a lot and -- Yeah I did you see our sales guys rubbing their hands together possibly.
You know that everybody is.
Think you did you're right about that in terms of the not not the cynical view of ourselves as but but but it did you know I've wondered how differently things would have been -- -- If we knew that nine.
-- Santorum had one.
Iowa.
Obviously it would it men.
You know.
He had the momentum that instant answer was one and one to Mitt Romney rather than the two and -- we don't want it as psychologically.
A big difference now.
Yeah I don't look at this as as a momentum thing because I love Mitt Romney and I I love new but I must say I think a lot of -- Surge here came not so much because people have a better understanding of his economic policies or what he's gonna do is as a leader of the country.
Is surge came basic -- because they love the way he went after John King.
And and that really does have much to do with the the policies that Rick Santorum -- -- wanna put a place so.
This is going to be a long not process were people get to know what are the projects and what are the ideas and I think.
That's that's going to be -- and ongoing event where people understand more about what Rick Santorum sense for.
You know -- also a deeply religious and charitable.
A -- armed and and is it there was that issue that many in the party were -- and if I I assume it's South Carolina as well that while they deeply admired.
News the Newt Gingrich on many many levels to the John King.
Issue about commenting on what the speaker's former white had to say about and did that a lot of the social conservatives particularly had to wrestle with that and the state may be the better part of the pragmatist in them.
Dismissed it and said dead let that be died on.
But as a religious guy yourself shouldn't be -- -- should characters should that kind of stuff that the speaker may be.
Very effectively sort of -- swept away.
Be an issue.
Will be an issue or or is the economy such a dominant team.
That it trumps.
Is -- like.
Well first I don't consider myself for religious person not resign excited about -- -- -- Christians I.
I send more than most people need God's grace of a more everybody else and also focusing about being charitable if I -- since the -- money of his mind you would be -- nanny.
So I think -- kind of -- The whole thing about Newt Gingrich's we live in -- Christian nation people want to deny that Harry Truman read the Bible five times before becoming president.
And said in the is so great country of ours has proven the fundamental unity between -- any democracy now that's only what sixty years ago or seven years ago.
So I think the American public has the attitude is how we move on you everybody and -- a listening to this.
-- this cast.
You know we've all had our good Friday's.
But in America there's a lot of eastern -- and I think that's what we -- cling on to that.
That we're here to be a blessing to other people to -- channel God's love and and I think the more we do that a figure out how -- we help the people.
That are needing help this is sometimes just a big power play.
And -- so distressing to see that the political environment is not how do we get how we get these people back to work with this when rich program is to have zero taxation.
But in instead it's who's going to be able have a White House Christmas party -- that's a shame but.
-- you think about it I mean that an equity.
With the Bill Clinton.
Issue on the on the on on on moral and ethical matters of -- when added.
I was -- when he was -- -- focus on the economy to bigger things and and and and getting things right Honda and don't pay attention to stuff.
Well I think he's one of the more popular people in the world then and why is that I think.
I think people have a tendency -- kind of cut one another some slack.
And it's only the gotcha mentality that existing back then he sees -- -- -- got John Bill Clinton.
The -- I think you know what started this all my opinion was a Watergate thing before Watergate he has talked to some of newscasters they all knew that.
Mount a president Roosevelt and Kennedy had these -- little.
Goings ons but there another way to avoid -- in fact they made a point that they never let.
Roosevelt be shown in a wheelchair so I think once the they -- -- the Watergate thing happened on -- a journalism is one who can kind of play the gotcha game and so.
It used to be a wonderful thing and corinthians you reader and every wedding of people love love is when you bet very notice and other people do it wrong but because -- -- that idea way.
Ulcers are it was at that point in my wedding by the way -- -- my mother in -- glass cracked -- I'd never signals.
-- -- very very good having you it's always an honor and I I really really enjoyed it.
Let's get -- back against and thank you very much thank you it's really fun to be here Neal thanks for what you do.
