The latest survey of small businesses from the US chamber of commerce -- them still gloomy about the economy.
And not in the mood to create more jobs.
Of the thirteen hundred entrepreneurs the -- surveyed 85% said the country is on the wrong track.
Said that -- adding jobs and that's consistent with what they said in July of last year.
They're still sitting on the sidelines they're being defensive 63%.
Indicated they're gonna keep the same number of employees.
The -- survey found that 78% of entrepreneurs said that taxes regulation and other policies from Washington make it harder for them to hire new workers 74%.
Said the new Health Care Reform law does too.
Eight out of ten small businesses want Washington get out of the way.
Only -- very few want them to give them a helping hand.
The Chamber's survey found that small company owners are optimistic about some things.
45% think the business climate in their communities will improve over the next two years up twelve percentage points from last October and 69%.
Have confidence in their own futures saying their businesses are headed in the right direction.
