-- the -- the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and our favorite today.

Because one of our favorite people -- -- that's right Walt Mossberg for his weekly visit and it comes from its all things digital personal technology columnist the Wall Street Journal.

They've never been to CES in Walt Mossberg is due to picture this at home how big -- rock star he is at CES.

This kind of like Justin Bieber walking into an all girls middle school -- these just gets mobbed.

I've -- -- us all -- -- others there are some people there are no me there are a lot of people are wanna.

Which meet their products a check -- out like me but they would -- look at their product what did you bring with you.

Can't confused as to entice broader random sampling of things.

To be out really honest I don't think this year's CES.

As the kind of Blockbuster.

Really new stuff.

Fundamentally new great stuff that we've seen in the past but there's a number of interesting things -- just get started.

This is called the Samsung note it is a five inch screen and what and -- all things.

Because that's kind of a combination of a phone and it tablet.

On its android it works on the AT&T network you can make phone calls on it.

But it's also -- five inch screen so it's kinda big enough to be like -- tablet and it has a stylus.

Like the kind of old school tablets used to have -- -- right you can -- some other things with it.

And it's you know it has a camera on.

It is just basically -- idea is it's it's -- -- kind of in between these four inch phone screens and the course the seven inch tablet screens.

There's been a Dell has failed with a tablet in this screen size but.

Samsung has a better record and we'll see what happens so this is the -- note it up they haven't announced a price spike -- big yes.

Wildly I would guess -- be under 300 bucks and it will be out fairly soon that's the first thing.

This.

Is really interest -- guys have heard of One Laptop Per Child yeah which is this program to get.

Really inexpensive -- caps about a 180 dollars.

Out there -- into the Third World and Third World.

Governments usually by large numbers of them and distribute them to villagers and so forth -- Is the one.

Tablet per child this could they haven't.

Set a price -- they think this could cost as little as a hundred dollars.

And it's a tablet computer that runs you know a special operating system.

-- it comes with the this which is a mock up but this is a case for it.

But inside the cases of -- -- handle.

For charging it because in a lot of these villages in the Third World they don't have electricity so I thought this was an interesting device that is now.

There's there's a big initiative and we talked about it a couple weeks ago on the show.

To do.

Digital products that our health products not just fitness product -- health products.

And there are a couple of bomb here or stress neither of these devices has cleared the FDA.

So any you have to clear the FDA in the United States -- medical device but.

This little thing is a -- diabetes blood tester that plugs into your.

IPhone it's right there.

And there's a little slot there for the blood test strips been analyzed the blood there's an -- -- iPhone which I don't have one here right now to show you.

That.

We'll analyze the reading and send it to the cloud and all that is from a company called -- health.

And I -- also has this just kind of interest in this is a blood sport.

-- -- It that you don't have to pump it up for anything you actually run an -- on an iPhone and iPad.

They have one here.

And when you press the button on the IE -- iPhone it inflates the blood pressure cuff.

And it's and your blood pressure to the device into the cloud your doctor can look at -- and so forth so for people need to do that.

Heart disease or high blood pressure whatever.

This is using and it uses Bluetooth so this is using.

Bluetooth technology.

Like we're used to our everyday life for health which act which -- you know I'm kind of nuts about I think -- -- -- -- -- devices -- really.

Backward and it's great to have new things I finally.

We talked before on on FBN about the new kind of -- Windows notebooks that are called ultra books that are kind of like the MacBook Air.

They start up quickly they have long battery life they don't -- very much shouldn't.

All the rest but.

This is going to be especially important for windows eight.

Which is coming as you know for the holiday season hearing in 2012.

Windows eight.

Is designed to run on both tablets.

And laptop senate has a touch interface this is -- touch screen.

And you know when you can hit when these things and go into an -- I don't know -- that this is -- And then you go back to the desktop and to split but.

It's it's made for tablets and laptops.

Heidi combine it well this is called the Lenovo yoga.

And they have built this with a hinge that lets it do this here's a here's your normal laptop mode.

-- flip this around now to tablet the thick tab what I have to point nine and a heavy tablet.

But it still it is a tablet.

And if you're on an airplane screen an airplane seat and you wanna be watching a movie or something you can set it down like this is it and I'll cut.

And inequality yoga because if they kind of -- -- that.

Comparable -- some of the different yoga positions.

And you could also you know do this if you wanna do present something to other people so.

Microsoft is making an operating system that is both tablet and laptop and the hardware companies are trying to do things that will accommodate that now obviously this is not out yet.

This is really meant for windows eight.

But it was announced here and it will probably run in the end around 12100 bucks -- just a scattering of some of the things here from CDS very well.

On there and net profit Waltz ticket and that's what people should -- -- at CES just say -- your security guards for -- and double talk to you need to invest enough not to DC OK I.

But bull market of a big guy is a big star out there -- thank you so much has greatest.
