And this is suddenly made you guys are real choice a real option for the Smartphone world.

Is it all Qualcomm or can you wrestle a lot of market share away from them.
You know it's a very big market lives and so there is there's room for a number of companies.
We focus on the doing innovative products to connect gadgets together and so one of the chips -- been so popular.
Is a chip that tell uses wireless Lan and Bluetooth and FM radio and and allows all these phones to connect with other phones and download that -- and what you watch movies and a lot of those kind of activities you do with data.
What would then what is the real competition here because -- look at that might say yes you are combining the Bluetooth Wi-Fi the F them.
There's so much out there what are the possibilities.
For everything from downloading at a quicker pace certainly.
Sort of videos all the things that teenagers do some of us are too busy for Scott but other things that everybody seems to be Detroit with the downloading of the moon before watching entire.
Gone with the winds on the found.
But what does that truly mean is that where that next competitive battleground really you know.
-- You know the battle -- I think it's gonna be.
All of the different devices in the phone all those different capabilities.
Are expanding at a huge rate and there's a real -- to compress a lot of the different capabilities and a single chips.
And those combo chips if you will -- the new battleground for phones and they're very few companies that can do that.
Broadcom has a lot of -- IP we have a lot of the technology to put it all together into one ship.
And so as those features compress as the board space compresses on those phones -- you wanted to be small write you wanted to not during the battery very quickly.
We're -- really combine that and and that's -- brought comic -- and the reason we're taking a lot of share in these phones.
OK well let me talk about a lot of winds here that you've recently had they -- socket wins in everything from.
Those am -- bonds and I'm thinking that Samsung galaxy here and something called the Samsung galaxy why that sort of a lower and found for.
Younger kids there's the Nokia Alcatel.
All of that but what about the iPad three argue are your ships going to be in the -- three.
Well I can't comment on that we let our customers announced their own not announce their own products but you did mention something else which I think is an important phenomenon.
The advent of so affordable Smartphones I think it's gonna really drive a lot of volume.
Are coming down in price they're moving up and capability.
And we'll see a huge volume explosion not just in the United States but especially in a lot of the developing countries as those become more popular.
Three billion in cash on your books will you make an acquisition because it's not just Qualcomm and you guys word is that next week at the Consumer Electronics Show where we will be going to -- and myself.
Intel may make a big announcement about getting into the Smart phone business in a meaningful way.
You know Broadcom -- about one or two companies a quarter so we are pretty acquisitive and that's helped us to fuel the innovation that we do.
I think -- CES next week you're gonna see a lot of things and you know the -- in previous years was who could build the biggest TV set.
I think an important theme this year when you come is going to be how we connect all of these devices together.
And how you get access to that data with technologies like at 802 -- eleven AC a new wireless technology that'll speed that up quite a bit.
