Well despite saying one of the driest December's on record ski resorts in California are trying to stay optimistic.
About the season ahead.
Joining me now for this -- on the road -- -- Gregory CEO Mammoth Mountain ski resort with his outlook.
For the winter so rusty great to have you here you normally get what about 33 feet of snow per year on average where you right now.
Yeah we get.
Cheryl got about 400 inches of snow a year and were quite behind that although more snow than anybody else in California so XBO quite fortunately even more so -- top right now.
Significantly more actually we -- 141000 people on the hill yesterday we thought about fifty inches of natural snow this year and we've got tremendous -- making capacity here -- at 111000 feet.

Lodging restaurants.
All the shops -- retail shops that depend on the big winter season to bring in business -- that -- -- them.
Well you're absolutely right and he's small fragile rural economies things can be tenuous here in mammoth.
We're fortunate that a lot of people showed up -- there's a lot of things to do here -- skiing although we have an awful lot of people on the -- as I said.
The people are doing other things in town and the town is actually.
Very close to a 100% booked up for both of the weeks of the holidays.
Do you have mostly visitors coming in from the Los Angeles area -- get more of an international.
Set that comes in their -- No we we are starting to grow and our international and destination.
Visits from around the US with United Airlines and horizon but we're predominately Southern California with about 80% of our visitors from.
Santa Barbara all the way down to San Diego.

I know that -- at predicting the weather is near possibly even people but.
You know predict the weather can't predict -- -- but what are you expecting get any sense of what you're -- -- look like was now.
You know predicted the weather's like you guys try to predict the interest rates and very very difficult to tell but you could see about my bad hair day that the the wind is whipping up but the weather is changing -- were actually forecasting for some storms potentially by the end of next week.
Which -- great for California and for the dry state of affairs and general.
