-- 2012 look like the airlines and flyers let's ask Michael Boyd president of Boyd group international.

He is joining me now from Denver.

Michael the -- and if you want to talk about phase you think ticket prices will wind up going up just because.

So many routes are gonna get caught -- some new planes will get taken out -- Scott.

-- 2012 going to be the first year where we see a significant and ongoing in systemic reduction in the size of our air transportation system.

It's gonna shrink the economics -- there and we don't have airplane to fly -- like we used to.

So some communities are gonna lose a lot of air service probably in the next ten years about a 150 airport.

And and that means -- and they're also going to be fewer flights coming into the bigger airports as well right Michael.

Absolutely I mean -- -- economics means that.

Fewer airplanes are going to be out there it means fewer airports are gonna be served if the way -- put it is Muskegon won't have their service anymore -- local airport that playing over and over Grand Rapids so it's just gonna change the flow.

What does -- -- for it though.

It didn't clearly if you have fewer seats in the skies and you have less capacity same demand.

You are going to see higher ticket price and how how much higher we talking about thing.

As high as they can get them their business.

The reality is it's no longer driven by demand driven by capacity capacity is gonna be down -- here.

At least 4% which means traffic will be done at least 4% because everything's already full and what that means basic econ 101.

Higher demand -- let's product higher prices.

And did other -- other phase out is going NTI out to only scratched the surface with them.

Those aren't gonna go away either so -- experience won't improve well.

All you can rest assured you've experienced will be just as much fun as it is today.

Bianca boot camp but the reality is they it's not every conceivable -- they're gonna -- -- -- -- mere mortal can't even think up.

Give me one give me one thing because they -- I it's paid extra to sit in an emergency -- And I thought they came by they came down -- -- -- -- -- back and -- They are you prepared to help your fellow passengers although I wouldn't just say no I paid activists say I'm not yet not it is an accident.

That that's true but.

We already have let me some airline one airline that a business they had with the public convenience fee which -- if you bought the ticket and wanted to use there was another five bucks.

But it's going to be -- year ahead remember the fair is now only the down payment to get to.

Omaha -- the whole cost.

One last thing might find the best planes because a lot of the experience -- just tap -- the planes are and how new they are whose got the best equipment.

Why I think most airlines do a very good job -- On on I -- united a lot I like what I see there a fly American ally like what I see there.

On the regional side that you can't buy a ticket on what they fly for several airlines to get SkyWest heating up the floor floor of those airplanes and SkyWest flies.

I like to hear that so there is -- bright -- somewhere but he's Ruder pointed out might -- Mike happy new year thanks for being here take -- with seasons in view.

Small business owners in Iowa have a lot at stake in this presidential election but what will drive their vote of course mr.

Jeff Flock is there spotted out right now.
