It's congressman Ron Paul is still -- front runner in the Iowa caucus for next week.
But as a vote for Paul of vote against the bailouts and banks and then hit anger from the Wall Street Journal is here and then -- wrote a piece yesterday that his.
I mean it got a lot of tracks and I don't Twitter -- -- also many different people weigh in on it.
And most of the people thought it was a pretty good piece but not everyone agree with him.
You know most of the Ron Paul newsletter libertarians don't agree with that.
And that's mainly because I was trying to come to grips with the Ron Paul vote as I called in the Ron Paul candidacy.
I mean here's a guy who in the summer was unit.
Iowa caucus -- was running at around 7%.
At the moment he's at about 22 and a half percent.
How do you account for such an incredible growth in -- and Ron Paul support.
And I might concede that there are these committed libertarians out there and they love Ron Paul and we all love the idea of small government.
But I just don't see that Ron Paul the candidate is the thing or the person attracting that level of support.
I roll the tape back to Michelle Bachmann when she appeared in the the campaign suddenly she was number two.
She stated Rick Perry that was up to 31%.
He couldn't debate Herman Cain was all of a -- the front runner of 26%.
We know -- -- collapsed.
Then the left for dead -- -- Gingrich.
Campaign was suddenly the front runner again and then that Republicans carpet -- -- and now you've got.
Ron Paul and I think there is this.
Segment of Republican and -- libertarian voters who are very committed very intense.
Very angry at Washington who've been looking for a fighter a champion to lead them and at the moment.
A lot of them are settled on Ron Paul -- not take away from his libertarian.
So or not but -- -- you're saying this is more of a protest you know it's -- that it's not about Paul's policies percent but the fact that he is the outsider somehow on this thing.
Well yeah I think they feel he's the most committed candidate at the moment.
By default to carrying that -- their mantle and it's a protest against Washington if the protest against Obama.
And frankly it's a protest against Mitt Romney who's been floating -- 25%.
For the entire year never really rising about.
Hello but I need to surface here and I'm looking at UPC's you talk about the polity is set up by these candidates have been minimal the importance of voters -- -- down -- beef with Washington to one idea.
And that's attack now.
Now this attack -- seems that backfired a little bit on Republicans with this payroll tax cut extension.
So is this what the president's McAuliffe baction.
And I think he -- citizen Tea Party but is this -- It's is good or bad for the party that this this whole attack mode we want anyone who's gonna go on the attack we want that to be our candidate.
Charles I think it's.
Bigger than a faction I try to -- look back to the November 2010 election right when the Republicans took the house back.
In the one state legislatures everywhere.
And that was the result of people who were first were upset about the bush is spending spree and then the Obama spending spree and suddenly.
Many Americans realize that the growth trend in government spending was a direct threat to their well being.
These -- that -- -- these of the fiscal conservatives and those of the people I think want to attack Washington now and they're seeing.
The republic got we got thirty seconds or it has.
Just let's just -- -- and you write that Romney now needs to reach out.
To be supporters the other GOP not I mean -- time running short here does he have a little elbow room I think it.
-- a little elbow room -- but I think that at some point Romney has the stopped being careful and indeed reach out.
To the -- people and the rest of the ones -- been voting against him.
And bring them in because if he doesn't he'll lose them and then you have the real threat.
Of a 33 party candidacy which will cost Mitt Romney the election and then you're great piece yesterday and now -- -- -- across -- -- uproar and just be careful do you see any kids outside their -- -- out of T shirt on and thirty degrees in New York.
I wouldn't get and it -- better.
