Is here in studio -- awarded one of my favorite people hey you -- but what type what do people talking about in terms of how to position their portfolios for next year because.

This year has been you're volatility in stocks but still -- US market that outperformed many of your international markets.

One that so many people got wrong in terms of treasuries who would have thought that -- have the ten year yield.

Well below 2% for much of the year when I think about our markets vs global markets right -- acting -- tech is often that I look at I see that where top 56%.

On the Dow and you see international markets that are down.

20%.

So.

Really as a global story the US really help their own this year.

The financials got crushed.

Right so Bank of America many of the name BankAmerica down 60% this year.

Many of those banks are down 40% and I are going to be talkative and -- -- runs the Burnham financial services financial industries bonds.

And in what are the questions every time -- talk -- about financials.

People have completely abandon them people don't want -- because they were borrowing -- a way to like my mom and dad dividend paying in bank stocks they had out portfolio a lot of that have been handed down over the years.

And -- around.

Not on some of these -- these companies went out of business and you know I have to add to your point.

Ted Weisberg Seaport Securities on for the New York Stock Exchange somebody's had in many decades of experience he's called the banks at this point.

-- value trap because you would say it right off the -- wound down 50% great it's great value but not necessarily so -- in the group is particularly tricky.

People are still moving towards some of the groups that did well this year some of the defensive plays such as utilities such as consumer.

Consumer -- stocks right you need your toothpaste there's no -- right you have to get some of these consumer -- so you still might find that defensive plays may work.

And a lot of folks talk about bags is still being a -- investment I also noticed -- will be very interesting tech got hit rightly -- like Oracle really.

Pulling down -- But out I was just reading this morning that 2012.

Is gonna be an unbelievable for IPOs in the tac -- -- so that'll be -- more so than in the years past so that'll be interesting to watch too because they are so breezy and volatile.

It'll be an interesting group to watch as well and an apple and then of course Research in Motion we have seen in the next year that means the positives -- -- -- may need some help an apple is on every kids.

Holiday list Christmas list I had a little kid comes in the New York Stock Exchange at the -- this fake.

And I -- when he haven't -- less I was waiting for like Lagos that and I touch.

I think you just -- -- and what that's -- -- -- I want and I tax that's right they haven't done all three nieces got Kendall stance.

To that -- cuts say and again American ingenuity people talk about all Americans on the -- think again people apple.

Its currency policy all that I again Nicole Hadley thanks for coming and so are -- only talk about the United States was talk about you.
